Jack Grealish

can anyone realistically have a valid point if the fee could be agreed why Grealish wouldnt come to City besides being a Villa lad? Villa have rich owners but they are MILES behind others in squad quality and could take 4-5 years to even be close to getting top 4 etc?

We already have a famous jackie and don't need another? ;-)

Nah honeslty I have no point as to why not., sign the sexy legged, hairband adorning **** up I say

He wouldn't get as many in a City shirt.
Not only that, we often don't whip the ball into box from free kicks as we don't have a target man, perhaps we should sign Haaland ;) We tend to recycle the ball, so his dives would actually slow and interrupt our play.
If he's available for £35M then he's a worthy squad player but any more and questions need to be asked as he'll be taking up a squad position and limiting game time for Foden

There’s always the chance of a Delph. I’ve been negative on this on this for a while and posted 3/4 times that this one isn’t happening and that’s not my style... They’ve got owners that are ambitious like ours. They don’t need money. Reports now coming out that they’re willing to pay him max money. I hope it comes off, but also I don’t. I don’t want this to be a bundesliga system.
It’s not about a club needing the money. We didn’t need the Sane. We did need a player that wanted to stay however.

They say a good player can keep the balls and stay on his feet.

Just like David Silva could.

Still, I want Grealish here
If you put yourself in his position, on the pitch - he's just got round the 3rd player (who has brushed him) - what does he do now - he looks up and sees one player in the box and no one going outside him - the best he can hope for is to win a free kick and get the big boys up for the cross.
Wth us, he has Aleks going round the outside, Gundy making a late run into the box, KDB on the edge, Phil on the six yard line and thats without Raz, Marez and Gabby as options.
I'm being a bit harsh on Villa, they play well without Grealish, but you get my drift, maybe going down is the best he can hope for. Plus he won't get as much attention.
I like to think we will all give him stick if he does go down easily - if he comes of course.

Mates from Villa say he was asked by the owners and manager last year to give them 2 years (stay at club) and weigh up where the club are at in terms of progression. This was after Villa had just avoided relegation and hadn’t had a decent season (last year). By that info it would mean he’d stay till next year and then weigh it up, perhaps he didn’t foresee City as an option at the time as I can’t see we were interested until the back end of the year just gone. Perhaps we’ve turned his head majorly and one of the reasons why he might stay is the promise he made to the owners last year when agreeing the 5 year deal (again last year). Just a thought. Villa mates are of the opinion he’s staying too - so we shall see.

He won't be signing to get splinters.

Fuck me, thats Neymar, Xavi, Gascoigne, Iniesta and Cruyff now.
And falling over at the slightest touch is not 'hard to get off the ball'.
He'll get more space for us anyway so will most likely get fouled less as at Villa you stop grealish you stop villa at us you also got Foden, KDB, Mahrez, sterling to worry about at the same time

I’d agree with that but the argument is that he’s home grown and was groomed to be a legend like Foden. AV isn’t a big club like we are but he’s their Foden and they’ve got City ambitions. It’s not a Delph scenario.
I can't see Villa finishing top 10 this season despite their "ambition" signing Buendia is not going to push them up the league.

They’re ambitious with rich owners just like we are. I’m not anti-Jack, they just don’t want to sell. It’s possible that that is is a thing!! That’s not a crazy take. Especially if they pay him. City doesn’t pay high wages.

I’m not sure what you’re arguing here?

Same with @urban genie

I’m team bring him in, but at 100m I’m lost.

I wasn't arguing with you, just said I prefer the term successful club, than big club as big club has been and is used by most to belittle amongst other clubs us also.

The rest of your post I quoted I agree with, why wouldn't Jackie want to come here

They are light years behind us and your last sentence is ridiculous
