Harry Kane

Kane would be our biggest signing ever, in a lot of ways the transfer fee sorts that, although not the reason why! Messi on a free would have been bigger, but it never happened.

The reason for me, is that a player many saw as unobtainable, England captain, could well be the PL’s top ever goal scorer when he retires.

Any PL club would want him and he only wants City and for sporting reasons.

That is why for me, he would be our biggest to date.

It never fails to make me happy, that we have gone so far in the last 10 years that things that would have brought ridicule and seemed impossible are now accepted as fact.

It’s reasons like this that I hope it happens and then he kicks on, this advantage of the best players moving to the already best team is as close to guaranteed success as any club can get.

As i have said i do not think this is going
to happen. If it is not done by 1st of august not sure we will sign anyone of note.Hearing Pep say we have plenty of talent in the academy well it may well be about to prove its worth.

In the it’s quiet thread. Tolmie Said at City they are saying business is done. And that their excited. I think once players come back off holiday there will be movement

Good post, mate.

We bid for Kane that’s says we interested in him if we didn’t bid for Kane city would of denied it because it was all over sky breaking news!
And they also said Chelsea bid for haaland, but both bids have just disappeared into obscurity. They've claimed we've bid for shit loads in the past, nobody knows

City wouldn’t let a yellow ticker on sky say we bid 100m for Kane if there was no truth in it would they? Yep there loads a speculation on players but this was different!

Not so sure, I think they would.

There was also nothing from Spurs either, to say they 'rejected' an offer, which made me doubt one had been made.

The claim came from Castles mentioning it in his podcast, then mentioning it again when nobody reacted to it, then tweeting it when he realized he got away with it, to a few then retweeting it and sky then using it to fill a slow news day.

The club have been so quiet with how they go about business that I honestly don't take denial of a rumour as that rumour being true.

Oh they do. It's just that unfortunately Kane isn't sexy, and therefore there's is an intense amount of denial going on about our business. This is no different to KDB or Sterling. Our target is clear, and so is the process of signing him.
Like they were clear when we signed Dias ?

No, nothing like that. And really, it doesn't take a genius to work out the difference between last summer and this summer ... but here we are.

There is much more of a difference between this and Kdb/Sterling transfers than there is between this and last summer.

City sent out an email last within 24 hours of the story in the Mail saying we were in for Lewandowski telling the press pack that they absolutely had no interest in him. They let it be known when they need to.

Notwithstanding that we're at the point where people who don't believe we are in for Kane or that he's the absolutely priority this summer for the 9 position, are basically akin to flat earthers ... funny shit.

What's the holdup? They ask as if the transfer isn't potentially our most important and most expensive since Aguero. Wouldn't expect anything to happen maybe even till we've played Spurs in first game of the season
