They've yet to sort a deal for a 20m defender in Tomiyasu, let alone be linked to Koundé or Varane, or Vlahovic lol. Maybe the club handed Guardiola a new 2 year contract and decided that they'd like to see him test himself even more by spending 2 years without a recognised number 9. Maybe they'll sell KDB too just to add a little spice to proceedings.
