I get your point.Any?
Again, the Spurs friendly London-centric media are doing everything to spin this. Nuno was asked point blank more than once "Has Levy assured you Kane won't be sold" and he basically refused to answer the question every time.
At A LOT of other clubs that would've led to headlines screaming "manager confirms star player could be sold" - but with Spurs, it's basically brushed under the rug as if it means nothing.
You aren't going to get interviews from Kane/Pep/Txiki. Its obvious to anyone from all the media stories that we would like Kane and Grealish. If a deal can be done or not is another question.Any?
Just doesn't strike me as how city have done business over the last ten years. We tend to do things quickly and quietly, and almost all these long protracted sagas seem to end in the player going nowhere (and getting an improved contract) or going somewhere else for a fee we wouldn't pay.Just search up Harry Kane Man City and you'll see a plethora of info bout City's interest in him, including articles, threads and what not. Maybe rather than not being able to afford him, we just don't think he's worth that much? Or even we just are not interested.
A fair assesment and how I see it too. Can't see us getting our pants pulled down for any of the quoted figuresI'm sure we Are interested. To an extent. Heck he might even be the hands down preference, totally open minded to that.
But there has definately been a message of 'not desperate' and 'not at any cost'. I don't know who briefs who and I don't pretend to, so I won't go about claiming the club say this or that, but I can believe it.
Which makes it a long way to go to bridge the gap, and the club wouldtypically hinge on the one target where there is a chance of it not happening due to the fees involved.
Fair enough, so your argument isn't about whether we're interested in Kane, just that there is a good chance if we don't get him we have an alternative lined up and won't waste time in securing him. But so far so good, club don't seem to be panicking but it's natural for fans to be worried obviously.Just doesn't strike me as how city have done business over the last ten years. There is plenty of papertalk about Kane to city, but it's looking more like the vvd, Messi, slabhead and pogba sagas now.

There is no evidence of interest from City in any player, but unless we aren't signing anybody, unlikely, then there must be interest somewhere, and the only stories around, other than those denied, are Kane and GrealishDon't get me wrong, I'm not implying you are a gullible clown, just that there is no actual evidence of any interest from city in this player.
On form this morning :-)Maybe we're just not going to sign a striker. Maybe the club handed Guardiola a new 2 year contract and decided that they'd like to see him test himself even more by spending 2 years without a recognised number 9. Maybe they'll sell KDB too just to add a little spice to proceedings.
Or maybe, Occam's razor applies here and the obvious, a pursuit of Kane, is what is happening.
Walker, Sterling, KDB all followed a similar path to the Kane and Grealish stories.Just doesn't strike me as how city have done business over the last ten years. I'd be worried and shocked tbh if we don't have other options lined up.Fair enough, so your argument isn't about whether we're interested in Kane, just that there is a good chance if we don't get him we have an alternative lined up and won't waste time in securing him. Yep, granted. I'd considered this, but the media put a negative slant on these. Generally either slagged the players off or threw ffp mud at cityWalker, Sterling, KDB all followed a similar path to the Kane and Grealish stories.
Apart from Bernardo we never get deals done quickly and quietly.Just doesn't strike me as how city have done business over the last ten years. Not true are we forgetting the sterling transfer, KDB trsanfer(jesus christ), most big transfers we've had without a release clause were annoying to deal with. Hell even walker was annoying to go through and not quiet at all. Mahrez went from January didn't happen there then came back and happened in the next window and was drawn out as well. And all of these transfers had heaps of “paper talk” prior to them happening. The only “quiet transfer” I can recall were Ederson, Bernardo and few others mainly release clause playersWe tend to do things quickly and quietly, and almost all these long protracted sagas seem to end in the player going nowhere (and getting an improved contract) or going somewhere else for a fee we wouldn't pay.
"He's behind you"! ; )Now if you'll excuse me, pantomiming is only fun for so long.
Agreed.I share your cynicism, but no need for the 'm'-word mate.
