Harry Kane

Sorry but what does a player at the euros have to with two domestic clubs making a deal?
The player in question has earned a holiday after a very long season, this player has to be present in order for the move to happen. The player in question also has to potentially force a move which I very much doubt he can do without actually returning to the club. So yes, it has a lot to do with the player since he is literally what the clubs are dealing for.

Why does he have to be present that’s what agents are paid to do

Because Spurs are playing hardball in which case he will have to declare he absolutely wants out to Levy and Nuno or whomever concerned. Agent can't do that can they? They can negotiate the contract details and all that obviously.

why carnt his agent do that, I’m sure the player can pick up a phone. The lad I play golf with was in Portugal on holiday whilst his agent did all the work for him to sign for his new club the player doesn’t have to have a face to face

Probably because he's the club's most important player? Would be at the very least expected he turns up and asks to leave nicely or otherwise instead of just being on holiday and telling his agent go sort it out. Think his brother's his agent as well, would want the situation to end respectfully.

I would of thought Spuds will be well aware of what Kane wants to do by now.

Being aware is one thing but in Levy's position you'd have to appear in denial, selling the club's most important player to a rival within league needs a PR spin of sort that is less damaging.

But they will know for certain what he wants, imo.
I think Kane told them before the Neville interview he wanted 100% out.

Agree that interview was quite damning, even priced himself at £100m while at it. But nevertheless, unless he publicly states he wants out Levy will keep playing pretend-hardball, the fact of the matter is Kane will have to ultimately come out as the villain by forcing the move so Levy has some face saving to spare, they are ultimately in need of funds and we are offering a large chunk of cash right away.

Hearing more and more players being linked with Spurs now. Reading into with City Specs on may mean they are looking at getting in players before the inevitable big sale of 'Arry.
