Seasoncard - 2021/22

The QR code changes very 28 days or so? I'm not that technical but think the easiest way (should it be made mandatory) would be for you to show proof to the club before they release your digital ticket? I understand it will be a digital season card rather than individual tickets every game so would only have to be done once.
You raise some interesting points:
Firstly, just checked my QR code from the NHS app and my code expires 20th Aug Which is unfortunate as our first home game is the 21st. I'm double jabbed - March & June, so wasn't expecting to have an expiry date anywhere near Aug?? ..maybe, as you say, the code updates??
On the seasoncard ..(can't really call it that now can we?), It's logical to send us a file which contains all 19 entry tickets rather than 19 individual mails/e-tickets but until the club publish how they'll do this we're all still in the dark.
For such a monumental change affecting so many, the silence from City is deafening!
This is going right over the heads of many! ..unsupported NFC phones phones, Print-at-home??, plastic cards?? ..from what I read here that's the last we've seen of them?
I can only imagine carnage outside on the day of the Norwich game & ultimately many not so' tech-savvy' fans walking away from the club they've supported for years purely at the whim of some bright young thing who thought this might be a good idea!

Shouldn't have to do it every month. I think the fact it changes it more to do with international travel?

Season tickets holders should only have to do it once but no doubt City or the GOV will make it as difficult as possible.
What happens when the booster jabs come in, and we're all getting those done at different times? I think there'll just be an outer perimeter checking covid QR codes each game, then you'll use the app to get into the stadium.

Well they better get their finger out
the first home game is only four weeks away this saturday

And this flat earth luddite has just found out what that NFC means too, maybe.

Nice Francis Crawford
or
Nasty Francis Crawford

In regards to the QR I think it lasts for a calendar month after you download it. If you do it tomorrow, it'll expire the 21 (again, I think so as I did it a few days ago & it expired on a different date, today it's the same date as yours)

Yeah the codes last 28 days and when you reopen it on the 21st it will generate another for 28 days effectively they just keep rolling over. Not sure why they do have an expiry on them but sure I read it was something to do with travelling

Kind of wishing I deferred this year to see what the mess is like before making a decision, I only kept on to keep my safe standing seat. It's one thing after the other with these clowns when people in general aren't as arsed about it all as much now, VAR had already put me on the brink. Another that city said no problem to when asked for actual cards, I can use the phone system but I don't want to have to use my phone. If they require justification and are idiots about it I will likely just jack it in.

Only had one jab up until now so wouldn't be able to show vaccination proof and I am not getting the negative test for every game until I do. Even once I have done that I am not downloading the app I'll show them a picture of the little card that's it.

Coming to the matches themselves, I only hope they are full capacity with away fans as well. If any restrictions on that I am not interested.

Yea I think the NHS app generates a new QR every 24 hours, i’d imagine you upload/scan it before the first game and that’s you for the season I’d imagine.

Probably be a nightmare first game with people not doing it etc, but after that should be forgotten about largely
Am I right in thinking to attend the match we are going to have to have this nhs app?

Great and I take it this is the same app that pings u wen u have been near someone with covid??
No its not the Covid app its just the NHS one that is linked to your personal medical records.

I think there is a City Matters meeting this week so hopefully they will get some info they will be able to share regarding this?

Any chance someone could enlighten me to what’s going on ticket wise and fans returning ?

Iv only come in here to ask about u16 entry to the ground as I’m seeing in the news that only ppl who have had the 2 jabs will be allowed into large venues and my lad hasn’t been offered the vaccine.

After reading back a few pages on here I’m seeing something about smart phone only entry to the ground and Francis Crawfords is either twatting everyone or buying everyone a chip barm .. ?

Are season tickets being replaced by smart phone entry and any idea what’s happening to u16 , are they allowed in without the jabs ?

And can I have a chip barm not a twatting ?

I checked how it worked yesterday and was given a pass until the 23rd July. So hopefully its a calender month from that date.

i’d imagine so mate

it’s the NHS app rather than the NHS Test and Trace app.

Gives a QR code you can scan and details of what doses and when you’ve had

It’s pretty good can order repeat prescriptions on there as well.

I think some of the features are dependent on whether one's NHS record is shared. Mine isn't so I can't see my health record or order prescriptions. Not sure if it's my record that isn't shared or my GP surgery that isn't set up to share. The Covid vaccination QR code still works though.

Only affecting a few of us but the NHS Scotland app has different functionality - so foresee more situations like trying to spend Scottish bank notes in England when we try to use that
