He’s a boyhood rag, you know, and is willing to play for them for nothing, but won’t say no to the £400k/week the daft twats are happy to give him.

Having watched Varane in matches against teams other than Man City, he is definitely a very good CB.


I'm hopeful the United curse strikes though.
 
I have just seen Pogba has turned his nose up at 350k a week 3 year contract offer at Utd. I hope PSG for some reason stop their pursuit of him and he has to stay. 5 years of laughs he has given me. A decent chunk of it he has been a hindrance to them developing a spine. The rest of the time he has been barely ok with very good performances very few and far between, at best.

I do feel he will do better in a generally lower quality league where being a moments player could have more impact on the end result so PSG is perfect for him. I just wish he would stay at utd where he is a weight around their neck more often than not. He is not worth the 350k Utd offered and defo not whatever PSG offer him (assuming it is more) but it is what it is.
 
The Rags and the bus driver f8cking it up again Sancho £80m and £350k a week , still unproven in the Premier league a massive gamble , Varane is garbage , no pace and has been playing in a declining La Liga were even a 36 year old Ramos looks good. Just need Pogba to demand £500k a week for another four years and their summer deals make our purchase of Mangala for £35m look like a shrewd decision

He is too slow and not physical enough. He plays well against poor teams in Spain and is a flat track bully. United should have signed someone like Soyuncu from Leicester. I could be wrong but I think it's another blunder from them. They seem to fail with nine out of ten transfers. They are easily influenced by the media and tend to buy over-hyped players.
For what it's worth I think Maguire has been a great signing for them and I rated him at Leicester. He is not that quick but his positional awareness and strength is excellent. Varane is nowhere near the level of Maguire.
