No doubt I’ll be called spoilt or entitled but rather annoying this, not you thanks for the info. You just know it’s slow because of the euros, euros finishes then its wait until they’re back from holidays not its wait weeks. Season starts in 3 and it’s disappointing we are going into it without our business being done. I guess it proves these deals are far from done as others have suggested which again is a further worry what we do if it goes tits up.Apparently inside the club there’s little indication of a deal happening this week. Obviously could change like with all these things but for the moment all is quiet. Patience is a virtue we’ll all need for the next few weeks!

To be fair even if he signed the week of the 2nd August the likelihood he’d even start the season is unlikely. Purely due to getting use to Peps methods etc I can’t recall too many players just slotting straight away since 2018. We have a tough start and we can’t afford to chase the pack again and rely on breaking winning records and others to slip up to catch up. That’s my worry, not that I demand every deal to be done instantly, I just fear a slow start again, fingers crossed it’s the same for most after the euros etc.My bet is we’ll get them both. I agree mate it’s a glaring position we need to fill. Perhaps LB too but not many others IMOIndeed. Part of me think Kane would and could get thrown in earlier than normal but Grealish will IMO have an adaptation period.

I just don't see it in Grealish. A huge regression on Dave Silva at about 3-4 times the price, a big name and a lot of media attention but nowhere near as good.
Would much rather see us in for Insigne. 5 years older than Grealish, but the better player and less than one year left on his contract at Napoli. If the next youngish David Silva isn't available atm, Insigne would be a superb addition for the next 2-3 years.
Dealing with that Napoli owner is bad enough, never mind trying to take arguably their best player at his peak
