Harry Kane

If, as you say, he is available at a price then you need to look at other reasons (many discussed on here), as to why we are not pursuing him.
Agent fees? - other clubs will pay it at some point......a horrible part of the game that we cant do anything about

Not Peps first choice? - he wants a proven player not a project - but this is flawed a little as well....Kane is going to have to adapt to us as well (granted not as much as Haaland) but there is no guarantee he slots in perfectly straight away.......

Not sure what the other reasons are

other reasons are that harry kane is a better player, which is lost on some people here

So did Sanchez, Fernandes, Maguire, Van De Beek, Fred, Lukaku, Matic, Lindelof...the list goes on an on. How has that worked out for them in the last 5 years?
Fernandes depsite his cheating and diving (I wonder how this will compare to Grealish who also goes down at the slightest touch) improved them and Maguire as poor as he is also did from where they were at at the time..

Van de beek - young kid from another country (we use that reason with our imports) -needs time to be judged properly.

You have hand picked a few there but mixed out Wan Bassaka for instance who has been solid at full back for them as well. Shaw also suddently looks like he is the player lots thought he was (clearly has his fitness issues however). Cavanni was a great bit of business for them as well

Aye.
They was really shit before but these two have made them just shit.
How can you possibly judge them before they have kicked a ball for utd....lots on here were desperate to have Sancho back for starters.

This idea that utd arent improving is blue tinted specs at best...blind arrogance at worst. Will they threated to the league title this year....I dont think so as that will be Chelsea and liverpool but utd are buying decent players and have improved under the hobbit from PEG

Improved them to do what exactly? just score more penalties. He hasn't won them any trophies.

Van De Beek doesn't get the chance so doesn't matter about time, he will be sold soon I imagine.

I have picked the big names, all nearly 30m+ signings. If you want to discuss should a 50m fullback in Wan Bissaka be "solid at full back" then yeah id agree. Shaw after a decade finally got his finger out, nice. Cavani is a good player yea, scored a few and all for the sum of £200k a week. Nice.

As long as we get Kane and Grealish it doesn’t matter who they’ve signed.

If we don’t get Kane though it‘ll be a disappointing season I fear. This team of players and Pep deserve a proper goal scorer to finish off all the chances we create. It’s such a waste if we don’t, like having a Ferrari with a one litre engine in it.

Fernandes got 12 assists last season for them....he has added guile to their midfiled and creativity....they previously have lacked this type of player centrally.

As some say on here abut Kane = money doesnt matter so it cant suddenly matter when its utds players

Would you say Wan Bassaka has been a better player than Mendy? I certainly would....if you want to talk about a flop there is one right there......injuries havent helped but he has never looked good

Pep wants a proven player? Not so sure, maybe true with Kane but Grealish to me will be very much a Pep project in action, I don't and for that matter hope we will see the Villa Grealish, the City version will be completely reinvented.

Why the worry about united? Yes, they've improved - but with two players who could spectacularly fail in this league, the defender in particular. And at the end of the day they still have a manager in charge who constantly looks like someone just shone a torch in his face.

They'll battle the scouse for top 4. City and Chelsea will go toe to toe for the title.

The rags are much stronger than last season, fact, but the one enormous weakness is still there are will prevent them from improving, Little Ole, as long as he stays nothing will change.

Weird situation to give him a new deal with the likes of Conti twiddling his thumbs.
