My ERO is often saying he doesn't need a car. He does live in London with probably the most frequent public transport the world has ever seen.

I walk everywhere,to work,shopping,etc
I use public transport to City,i like a drink so wouldn't drive even if i could.

I work in the NHS and walk to work,10 to 15 minutes
I work with people who live closer to the hospital yet they still drive and pay
the car parking fee and moan about it

we just come back from liverpool for a short break
tram and train and walking from door to hotel
it can be done,easily.

For my generation getting a car was a rite of passage and meant freedom to go where I wanted when I wanted.

For the twenty somethings I work with, that's largely not the case; they live and work in the town centre. Everything they need is in town; apartment, job, pubs, clubs, cinemas, gyms, restaurants, etc.

There's a similar generation gap with respect to smart phones. For young 'uns it's the centre of their universe. For me it's useful but not essential (or at least it wasn't before City decided I needed one to go to a football match).

Well good for you.

I have a work iPhone that I have to use for all sorts of applications and it has NFC so I can use it for mobile ticketing. When I stop working I’ll buy my own phone.

However, like a few on here you seems to be oblivious to the fact that many people own smartphones that aren’t NFC enabled. For many people it isn’t a feature they need. My son and daughter are in their 20s and both work in IT & have NFC phones but neither wants either Google or Apple Pay enabled (one has iPhone & the other Android). The vast majority of people of all ages don’t routinely use them to pay for goods and services.

Spot on.
I have no issue with digital tickets. It's the way it's all been mishandled that's pissed me off.
Having supported City for over 60 years I personally feel let down by the Club I love. As will many more Fellow Blues.
It's a bit like a relationship when you find out that the other party really doesn't give a shit about you. This episode has confirmed to me that City clearly doesn't care about it's fans, no matter what they may say.
 
WTF is going on at City. Have to find out via this platform that cards not being issued. FFS they have all our email addresses and whilst they keep bombarding me with new kits emails, 10% off emails, women's season cards on sale emails, another new kit launch emails etc they can't communicate this important information. I don't have a suitable phone so can anyone tell me how I get into the match.

I know just what you mean. However for me a car is still my passport to freedom as I can’t walk too far these days and the nearest bus stop is a distance away. I will probably use the tram to go to matches as it is a case of walk across the tramline to the lift up and then I can take my time walking round to my turnstile taking a sit down every so often.
Lack of walking ability and lack of information from the club won’t stop me going. If they don’t send me an ‘alternative’ way to get in I’ll camp outside Khaldoon’s office until they let me in the ground!





After the 3 weeks I’ve just gone through on other matters don’t think for one minute I wouldn’t I’ve got my dander up and I’m just in the mood for them! Ms Meek as a Lamb is no more!! Ms Roar like a lion is here! :-) ;-)

I know why there has been a high uptake in Everton fans paying for a physical card.

My work colleague who’s a season ticket holder said you can’t transfer digital tickets, they have to be listed on the ticket exchange. The club basically have full control over the resale should you not be able to attend.

Bet every club is gonna be the same as it’s the same company (Fortress GB) that are the developers and have the contracts

Now we should be able to do that, and that should be marketed as a positive feature. It should act as an incentive to use the mobile tickets, particularly for those who share tickets or who can't attend every game. It will definitely be a huge benefit.

Not if there is a 22% premium for lower cat games and 83% on higher cat games if the other person has to pay individual match prices. That is what it would look like going through the exchange rather ran just sharing.

Exactly that's why most Evertonians have opted to pay the extra £5. When my mate emailed them and challenged them he got referred to the T&C's (which have always been there to be honest) that the club are obviously going to try and enforce moving forwards.


Are Digital Season Tickets transferable?

Only the Season Ticket Member should be using their ticket - as is referenced in the terms and conditions of purchase. A new resale platform will be in place for 2020/21 to allow Season Ticket Members the opportunity to list their ticket if they can’t attend a fixture.
