Right, so where are we up to with this?

We've probably triggered a release clause, but in any case the £100m has done the trick for Villa.

But Jack is back in Birmingham and it seems he's having a meeting with the ownership to decide things, and there are rumours swirling that he's decided to stay. However, City remain confident it'll go through and the medical has been arranged for next week.

Have I missed anything important? Apart from his FIFA rating, obviously.

Romano saying city are working fast to stop Grealish signing a new deal and that it should be concluded next week. I swear he just repeats himself

So earlier it was 'if Villa and City reach a deal Grealish will go, he will only sign a new deal if two clubs can't find an agreement'

And today it is this. Very interesting.

Probably already posted but he's supposed to be having some meeting today with the Villa owners so either way, we should know what's going on by today.

@BillyShears, what do you make of this whole meeting thing? A genuine chance to get him to stay, working out formalities of the move, or more just a last-ditch effort that Villa don't really think will work?

good morning blues. whats the latest?
Still a load of weird cunts masquerading as blues posting, Grealish has suddenly become a once in a lifetime player as opposed to a very good one and Marvin has thrown in his usual batshit thoughts, this time saying Grealish is on a par with Kev...
Other than that just another day in the mad House.

How can Ahsan possibly know that? It’s like asking what sort of pen will be on the desk.

There might not even be a meeting.

You are driving yourself mad.

With big transfers daft stories always come out when it’s very close. It’s maybe a bit unusual in that City have activated a release clause Villa weren’t expecting but we just have to wait. All signs are good but if you go looking for bad news you will definitely find it.
