Obviously we are interested in Kane, You do know there is other ways of us showing our interest other than just lobbing in bids don't you?
Yes we obviously have been in his ear for a while which answers your own question of confirmed interest.

We tried to sign him last summer so he’s already stayed an extra year. That’s probably why Kane is so pissed off.

I agree, and nothing has changed for him, plus the Mourinhio shit show, it all went wrong so why would he stay? Promises broken. I think we will of paid £80mill for Jack and £120-£130mill for Kane. I for one want Kane Ive liked him for years, I think he's the missing piece for us to win the CL. Jmho :).
