The point is that there are dozens of English football clubs with a long and rich history that have good spells and bad spells that often mirror the economic success of the city or town they are part of. Derby, Blackpool, Forest, Stoke, Leeds etc etc and yes City and Villa. But if you start calling City a small club with no history then we are entitled to point to the longer honours list, the bigger attendances and all that shite that we had pre-2008.

Villa, Spurs, Everton and the like will never accept us. Maybe harsh on Everton but my point being they were all considered bigger than us, or on a par. They see themselves as bigger historically and 13 years in they still can't accept it. That is natural, to loathe seeing someone you considered lesser than your club have what we have now. It will take a generation for that kind of shit to stop. That's all it is though, shit. Football fan shit.
