GoodTime to close the Ings thread I guess
IF the Kane deal wasnt to happen (lets say Levy really is that stupid to turn down whatever we offer for a 28 year old) what happens?
TH has said no more incomings...therefore no plan B?
I guess it would be Jesus and potentially torres as centre forwards as well as Sterling (esp if grealish is signed as we expect)
I actually wouldnt be too bothered with that...there is a lot of flexibility in the potential we have there
Even if we dropped interest in Kane today, it'd be too late for us to make the motions to sign a top goalscorer without getting lucky or desperate. Signings of this calibre generally take months to establish.IF the Kane deal wasnt to happen (lets say Levy really is that stupid to turn down whatever we offer for a 28 year old) what happens?

It was pretty much a hypothetical question tbh. It's always been Kane or bust. I think we could go another season without a striker especially with the added creativity of Grealish. But City still seem confident they can get Kane.
The one thing about the grealish signing thats a real issue for me is if we do get rid of Bernardo.Even if we dropped interest in Kane today, it'd be too late for us to make the motions to sign a top goalscorer without getting lucky or desperate. We'd probably hold onto Delap (rumoured to go on loan) and just do what we did last season, as you've said.
Grealish is probably being bought as a Bernardo replacement, so the only difference would be whether Jesus nails down the spot or which other midfielder gets the false 9 role.
Doesn't sound like him to be so definitive. Weren't there any "if's" and "maybe's" in itFabrizio Knobhead says Bernardo Silva exit from City will be announced in the next few days or something along those lines.
Unfortunately Bernardo leaving was always on the cards that Jack Grealish was coming in.
I love Bernardo, Wish him nothing but the best in his career if he does indeed move on, Fabulous player for us.
That's him to a tee...Maybe, If, But, Next days, Closer, Still negotiating. Fucking twat.Doesn't sound like him to be so definitive. Weren't there any "if's" and "maybe's" in it

Can’t keep them all, I don’t think we’d force Bernardo out either so I’d imagine it would be him wanting to leave. A lot still think we have the Bernardo of 2018. We sadly don’t and he hasn’t consistently been that good since. Flashes here and there and that’s been it. Last two years Grealish has been the better player. The one thing about the grealish signing thats a real issue for me is if we do get rid of Bernardo.
IF bernardo wants to leave then there is little we can do BUT there has never ever been anything other than rumour about that.
For me Bernardo is the better player.....
If we keep Grealish and Bernardo then fair enough
Apparently he's been wanting to go since last summer. The one thing about the grealish signing thats a real issue for me is if we do get rid of Bernardo.

I said the same the last day he should go nowhere unless its £70m-£80m he is well worth that value. Doesn't give any information, The only real name mentioned throughout all this is Atletico Madrid and quotes of £60m floating about. Maybe we will know more when Grealish is confirmed.what are the details on the table ? are we letting him go on the cheap or on loan with a view to buy
i think he's a great player and worth well over £70million all day long so i hope we don't sell cheap
Bernardo is my preferred player in that RM slot. His performance in that position in the quadruple season was incredible to say the least. Best player in the league that season, way clear of Scouser fave Virgin Van Dick. Such a shame City will no longer have a Silva in our lineup. The one thing about the grealish signing thats a real issue for me is if we do get rid of Bernardo.

Even more bollocksBernardo hasn't put a decent season in for 2 seasons now - last year was average by his standards, and the year before a stinker, since that daft tweet which involved his plank of a best mate Mendy. Mendy has 1 year left and it's not surprising he's going to follow him out of the door. Get a good price while we can and say thank you his general service - when he won all those pots for club and country we were talking future Balon Dor. Now it just looks like he peaked early.
Not seen us play much over the last two years then? His role changed to a less eye catching role but was arguably even more vital than his player of the season year. Every big game we've played and won the last two seasons, Bernardo has been one of if not the star man and we look like we've forgotten how to play whenever he's not in the side.Bernardo hasn't put a decent season in for 2 seasons now - last year was average by his standards, and the year before a stinker, since that daft tweet which involved his plank of a best mate Mendy.
