Right getting bored of this now (nothing personal CB) but the only way Bernardo is going to Spurs or Arsenal is if they suddenly up sticks and relocate to the Iberian peninsula FFS. It’s not city he wants to leave, he loves the club. It’s this country, be it the weather, the press, the culture whatever he wants either Spain, Portugal or at a stretch Italy (which yes I’m aware isn’t in Iberia ).

So let’s cut out the nonsense of him going to another English club please.

For me I think his tan has faded too much and he hates being pale.

Oh and for the record - I bloody love the player, vastly under rated and one of the best I’ve seen play for our club, such a shame if he needs to leave for whatever reason.
No offence taken mate, we are in violent agreement ;-)

Only if bernardo leaves will we be able to speak honestly about his performances for the last 2 seasons which have been subpar.. But people can't let that 3-2 game vs liverpool in 2019 go

and with all due respect to sterling's sublime tournament he needs to prove once more he can put the last season behind him and preform to the level he's clearly capable of. i believe in him but he has to recognize how much of a liability he was on the pitch whenever he played for basically most of the season!
2-1
He hasn't been great for the past 2 years and doesn't offer enough of a threat for the position he plays. When he has been on the bench, how often have you thought what we need to change this game is Bernardo? Not very often I imagine.
However, that performance against Liverpool was probably the best I've ever seen from a city player :)

Sterling is a completely different player before he is even included in a debate about whether he is better.

de Bruyne is the best player in the league and arguably the world. Generally agreed upon.

however, you can’t have too many good players. Especially if Bernardo does wish to leave. Tbh, he hasn’t been quite (emphasis on quite) as good the last two seasons and it makes sense if perhaps he isn’t quite as happy off the pitch as he would like.

also, it’s always of benefit to refresh the side.

since the first pep title, we’ve only made the following signings of note:
Dias
Torres
Ake
Cancelo
Rodri
Mahrez

of that list only Dias, rodri and Mahrez were ever intended to be signings that would be regulars shaking up the main core group of players.

it’s in need of a couple of new faces in the core of the team to keep it fresh.
If bernardo leaves then yes...but if bernardo leaves because of...then thas different. I know the rumours about bernrado wanting out but there has been little to nothing to substantiate that rumour.

Agree we need to refresh the side....we need a centre forward....we need a left back midfielders is somethign we are stacked with

Yeah dunno why I said 3-2. Brain melted, really long day lol

Here you go mate, not the full clip. But you can still tell he’s trying to justify himself. Sounds like me when I’ve winged interviews in the past making up as I go along hoping they believe it!
still having none of it at the end big Mike

Why……does……..Kaveh Solekhol…….. do really…………annoying …… dramatic pauses……….completely…….out of………….context?

Perhaps he wants to be the most annoying, obnoxious Sky Sports Presenter / Reporter? The competition is stiff. Gary Cunterhill and Bryan Pilsbury Dough Boy Swanson to name but two are ahead of him.

Ive said the same on here before fella;

The guy is an idiot.

Not sure I agree with this to be honest. Grealish has been the stand-out non-City player in the PL last season. His stats back that up and he was playing in a very average team. I honestly think hr is an intelligent player, great control and vision and once he starts swapping passes with KdB, Foden and Gundogan instead of Anwar el-Ghazi, Douglas Luiz and Traore you'll see his quality.

Bernardo hasn't had anything like the season Grealish has had. In truth, he's not been on form for a while and I suspect he just doesn't like it in England. He's been great but we need to shake his hand and let him go back to a warmer climate now. Whilst Foden is a great player, Grealish has carried Villa this season. Foden would not have carried Villa like Grealish did. He's been the one to give them a half-chance of a European place. I like Sterling but wow, he can be world class and dreadful within minutes.

As for Kane, he is the best available. We might want Haaland, but if Dortmund have sold Sancho they won't need the money. And he might not want to come to England. Simply put, Kane is the best PL striker and is easily in the Aguero-level of strikers. If Kane comes and stays fit, he will break records this season easily. I'd put money on him getting 45 goals this year - seriously.

It's all opinions though mate, it would be boring if we all agreed with each other! :)
Agree..playing with better players will make him better....that happens at all levels of the game.

Bernardo has had a dip in form..agreed...the centuraians season he was a standout player.....and last season we (imho) were starting to see a return to that...he started off slowly but you could see it coming back.

I disagree on Kane being Aguero level...yes he is good but I dont think he is at his level (few are)...Kanes scoring record when you look at in detail suffers when against the better teams.

Bernardo is part of that group of City players who have selflessly put the team first. Rodri, Fernandinho, Gundogan (the non-scoring version), Jesus, Walker, Bernardo, Mahrez at times, Foden, Aguero at times, Zinchenko (and probably others) are all players who could be a lot better on the eye but they help others out.

Funnily enough, ALL those players are statistical leaders (or very near the top) in multiple things, if you care to look at the underlying stats.

Rodri, Jesus, and Bernardo being the starkest examples. Coincidentally the most underrated.
It will be a sad day if Bernie leaves.

Bernardo played an instrumental part in all of our trophy winning seasons. The team is complete both offensively and defensively when he is on the pitch. His unselfish nature is a rare attribute that not many footballers posses. You do him a great disservice.

Oh and he can’t stand the dippers which it in self tell us about the man.

Just because JG is arriving does not mean we can be disrespectful towards one of our own.

I believe we already have better than Grealish at the club...Bernardo being one of them, foden being another, Kdb certainly is and you can add sterling to that as well (considering he plays from the left last season)

Kane will do well....I have no doubt but he wouldnt be my choice

Unlike some my happiness doesnt revolve around football (or even City). Ive supported them all my life (since the early 80's) so in a way the fact that my happiness doesnt revolve around football means Ive been quite lucky in that respect. Believe you me, Im very very happy generally and just love debating football.
Unfortunately it looks like Berny wants to leave

Pep has always said knock on my door if your not happy

I love Berny but imo his best seasons were not the last 2 although he did find some decent form from Decmber onwards
Do not underestimate what Grealish can & will offer
Right now imo Grealish starts before anyone down the left inc Sterling
Gundo to be used sparingly & to keep fit
I feel for Torres & Jesus both I would send out on loan

True, but not as sad as when Aguero or the other Silva left.

Point is it's definitely tough and I sympathise who is upset, but we'll be get by.
Of course we will but I have a feeling that Bernie will be the 1 that got away prematurely.

Outside influences can have a huge impact.

Earlier I said “I hope he falls down the stairs”
My apologies I would like amend that statement.
I hope he falls down the stairs and someone pushes a piano down after him.
best thing we can do is just laugh at them.

because he doesn’t know what he’s on about, he’s making it up as he goes a long hahaha

@simon23 again, not sure I agree. Bernardo hasn't been anywhere near his best for a few years now. I rate the lad, but at the moment he's absolutely replaceable and Grealish is an upgrade in terms of goals, assists and just being able to unlock defences. I think Bernardo has to play in every game to get up to speed, but I don't think he's made himself undroppable if you get me.

In terms of Kane, again he's not playing in a top class team. Aguero is my all time favourite City player and I'd have kept him on for another season, but he's gone and we need another striker who's of similar ability.

Kane's record - playing for a worse team than City - is as good as Aguero's and his assist numbers are top class. I don't honestly know who else we could buy who comes close to Kane. Maybe Haaland, but he's never played in England? Lewandowski is of a similar age to Aguero and hasn't played in England.

Realistically, the only players who are proven in England, have similar stats to Aguero and are probably available are Kane and Ronaldo. I don't know who else has played in the PL who is as good as Kane, Aguero or Ronaldo - that's the level we're talking about!

Of course, I've not gone through Kane's list of who he's scored against but when I've seen him play against us, it's abundantly clear he is absolutely top class. I hope we sign him because Aguero has gone and Ronaldo won't come!

Fair enough. I won't try past this to make you see differently, but we have so many potentially world class players losing 1 won't be the worst thing. It's like Sané.

If you've got a personal affinity to him then sure, makes sense that this'd get to you more. But for as much as I really admire him as a player, I've got 20+ other players to be excited about at the club if he goes to not make too sad about the whole thing.

I'll miss him 100% of course.

I agree Bernardo hasnt been at his best but i thought last season he was coming somehere near it again.
It willbe interesting to see how grealish does with being rotated and not being first pick every eyar (even without Bernardo in the squad as no one is a guaranteed starter besides Ederson)

I wouldnt say Kane is anywhere near Agueros ability....Kun scored goals that Kane can only dream of. People keep on about assists bt we dont need that from Kane so its a bit of an irrelevant point for me.

For me we should wait for Haaland (next years release clause) if we have decided that we wont pay the money for him this season...someone is going to get a bargain next summer.
His record against the top 6 which ive poseted previously isnt great with only Lecister and Arsenal being teams he has scored lots against. .....Spurs fans have also in the past been critical of him going missing against us.

What I do know is that when Ive seen Kane in the line up against us Ive not feared him at all...infact it was Son I was more concerned about and he is a player I would have had from Spurs and still would (think he has just signed a new contract so moot point)
