Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Leicester winning the league was treated like they were a village pub team. Same when Wolves got promoted and won a few games.

Both clubs have massive financial backing. Nothing wrong with it at all but it annoys me that it’s only ever City - and occasionally Chelsea - who get singled out every time we spend more than a tenner.

Our only chance is if the Saudi's finally take over at Newcastle, they then would become the most hated.

Maybe you’ve just got really really bad taste?

The Etihad looks on another level to that IKEA flat pack stadium that is Pride Park.

The other grounds you mentioned are shocking and dated as well. Even Brentford’s brand new stadium looks cheap from the outside, although the new stand at Fulham does look nice.
The Etihad looks nice from that distance. Up close its looks cheap with all those silly posters on the stadium, the glass under the rim of the roof that’s never been cleaned, some of the blue lights on top of the poles that work but some that don’t, and the floor around the ground is full of dips and troughs which create large puddles when it rains, the paint work on Joe Mercer Way is faded and shit n’all.

Not a City problem to solve this one, but does affect City, the white roofs above the waiting queues at the Etihad Met stop are filthy n’all.

Exactly , superbly well run club, but not a threat to the major clubs and never will be.

Big difference.

Kingpower are a horrible company, corrupt and very dubious origins, yet the PR they get is incredible.
If they became a long term threat to Liverpool and United, it will all change for Leicester.

Quite an interesting video.

Once again it shows what lengths City will go to to get the best results for club.

This is a case study of how Unilumin Sports and MCFC collaborated to complete a two-tier LED perimeter system at Etihad Stadium, Manchester, the UK, which is the most commercially valuable pitch-side media space in the Premier League. Watch this video to learn about our story.

apart from all the fans who get displaced and who are a complete afterthought...

Thought I’d cycle past the ground as its on my way home from work.

They’ve done absolutely fuck all round City Square. Peeling paint, tatty everywhere. It looks like one of those abandoned Olympic stadiums from Greece or China.

They better do something at least superficial before the first game, it’s an embarrassment.

All ? those seats were mainly matchday tickets, and the ones matchday fans did our best to avoid sitting in. Because when they were put in everyone complained how they were shit seats and the club were wrong putting them in. So there you go.

And new signs for digital tickets. Looks like they’re going to enforce masks as well??!!

Edit: realised that I’ve uploaded this image too small to read the sign (Bloody Tapatalk!)

It says “masks must be worn at all times”

Thankfully our player signings are better than our tarmacing signings.
(alledgedly) All those United shirts buried by the tarmac navvies coming up like zombie's and disturbing the surfacing, as they realise they are literally dead and buried these days?

Khaldoon should be embarrassed. The outside looks like a third division set up. Not the image of a forward thinking club which is strange given that’s exactly what we are in every other respect. He was even asked about it in the end of season interview and said thanks for drawing my attention to it like he never sees it.
