Harry Kane

Find it crazy anyone is against signing Kane.
The poll was started when Haaland was an option. Hence the low percentages.

There is something less exiting about signing established premier league stars over an up and coming player.

Kane will absolutely smash it here, but I’m not as excited as when Sergio signed.

That’s fair enough. Never got on the Haaland thing, just didn’t think we’d sign him for some reason.

His numbers and age make him exciting. He could flop like any other potential signing, but £150m for 10 years sits better than £150m for 4-5.

I’ll get over it when Kane bags his 50th goal of the season, I expect.

This is the most accurate post to reflect my feelings.. he’ll almost guarantee success (serious injury aside) but I’m meh… it’s weird.

On the one hand, I get it. Kane isn't a superstar like that, he's not a flair player about to announce himself, he's not a signing that will break the internet. Another factor is that for many, he'll never quite feel like a "City player" in the way that Haaland could've done after years. For some, he'll always feel like "Harry from Spurs who came and did well for us", almost like an extra line of code to an already-existing algorithm, than an essential part of the code itself.

On the other, much bigger, hand -give your head a fucking wobble and get hyped about the best striker in the league.

He scores penalties like a psychopath. He's the biggest aerial threat since the Luftwaffe. He's been giving every part of the country trauma by slamming goals past every team in the Premiership for a decade. He's as clinical as a surgeon's knife. He can ping passes across the pitch that KDB would be proud of. He's willing to get back and defend. He's got every chance of ending up as the league's all-time top bagsman, he's wanking over the thought of coming here, and Pep Guardiola has been insistent that he's the right man for two years. I know all the flaws and risks, but I can't help but feel we're becoming a tad entitled as a fanbase for not being hyped up the rafters about this being a possibility.

I'm not bothered about signing him he's bit old and slow in my opinion, looked leggy in the euros, and prone to injury. I don't think grealish was worth anywhere near what we paid for him when nobody else was in for him.
I wish we have gone for Haaland and Mbappe instead of grealish and Kane.

Who is to say we didn’t and they didn’t want to come? And would have cost 200mill+ each imo.. mbappe is going to RM I believe after psg. Haaland we might have a chance but we don’t like dealing with Riola so it remains to be seen if we woll go after him. I think Kane start slow in the euros but at the same time Southgate plays very very conservative and ge didn’t get the service he needed. Hell he played like 5/6defenders.

Dortmund don't want to sell Haaland, or wanted like 200m, so that couldn't happen.

PSG would never sell Mbappe to us.

It's fine to want them instead, but when it can't be done it can't be done.

I think if we get Kane he will bc we create more then Chelsea
I think Chelsea this season will play quite similarly to the way Inter used to play when Lukaku had a spectacular run. It’s definitely something to be very worried

The players have to want to play for City. Mbappe has absolutely no interest. Haaland perhaps, but not this summer and even then City don't compete for players, generally.

We've definitely gone for these players: Mbappe in the past and Haaland this summer. Neither of them wants to come.

Unfortunately life isn't a computer game.
