The deadline thing was on a Spurs podcast last weekend and the new bid was probably guesswork based on Tolmie’s bullishness yesterday. Perfectly possible Romano simply took a punt based on that, of course

There's no way we're desperate. We identified Kane as a target long before Messi and Lukaku were the subjects of going to other clubs. City do their business regardless of anyone else because we're proactive not reactive. Nothing like our Red Bastard counterparts :)

Yes we have identified Kane as a target but I doubt we were willing to go upto 150M for him or else Kane would have been our first signing instead of grealish. Again this is my opinion , could be wrong.
