My take is just that we should prioritise Haaland, even if it means waiting a year. The only thing that would undermine that take is if he's already been wrapped up by another club, and there's nothing to suggest he has.

We’ve already witnessed the lads agent and dad parading him about Europe like a prize bullock at an auction whilst in the midst of a global pandemic now imagine that scene next year when if we are to be believe there is release clause and it’s quite possible our top brass have thought you what we don’t need the hassle.

I reckon it'll add 41 pages in the next 24 hours. Whenever there's a whiff of 'it might no happen' the same boring people come out repeating the same boring things about Kane not being good enough which leads to the same tedious back and forth with one side going "he's obviously world class" whilst the other side stick their fingers in their ears and parrot the same "I want Haaland" refrain ad nauseam.

All for very pantomime. The game tonight will only increase the noise.

I dont think any of them have said he will definitely sign...I think the line is that people are very very confident/hopeful and we are preparing for him to.....

However until he has signed and is pictured with a shirt anything can happen/change...Levy is a dickhead and could cut his own nose off to spite his face and decide he is going to keep kane against his will.....I dont see Kane putting in a transfer request....might be a step too far for him and his reputation which would be damaged.

Kane is clearly our number one target, I didn't think this was up for discussion was it? It's clear as day.

Maybe the club knows Dortmund aren't prepared to sell this summer, and we're not prepared to wait a year. Maybe Haaland has already come to an agreement with another club. Maybe Kane is simply our first choice regardless?

I don't think any of us really know but I wish I did. I wish Haaland was that first choice.

I hope to see him.more this year if he's here, but would expect the frequency would be like Foden's year before last - where he makes appearances in the last 10 mins with starts in the Carabao.
Come the end of the season we'll know if he's ready for more and so would see him much more next year as a semi-regular.

Getting the youngsters used to the top-level without destroying their confidence is vital.

And if he turned out to be a world-beater from the start-great! But even they need nurturing through the inevitable adjustments and ups and downs that they will face.

True, forgot to factor in flappage.

My opinion hasn’t changed for months and still think this one will get done, but only in time for the Arsenal game, had hope it might sneak in before Norwich but fully expect Kane to be a city player by the Arsenal game.

I can't see Levy refusing an offer of around £120 million personally when push comes to shove. I know he's stubborn but that is still hell of a lot of money.

Ha, for the record I've consistently said I'm not sold on Kane.

I know he'd improve us, but he should be a backup option for me only. For the costs involved, his age/fitness, and the fact that Haaland is soon to be available. I noticed you also believed we should've prioritised Messi when he became available too, the club didn't and so he went to PSG. It's an opinions game. I don't mean to derail the thread.

Credit to Spurs and their media friends - they are doing their very best to pretend they want to sign a new striker in addition to keeping Kane, rather than to actually replace him.

People really think they're in for Lautauro Martinez just as an additional striker? Behave.
