Harry Kane

I reckon it'll add 41 pages in the next 24 hours. Whenever there's a whiff of 'it might no happen' the same boring people come out repeating the same boring things about Kane not being good enough which leads to the same tedious back and forth with one side going "he's obviously world class" whilst the other side stick their fingers in their ears and parrot the same "I want Haaland" refrain ad nauseam.

All for very pantomime. The game tonight will only increase the noise.
If like you say just the minor details to sort out, hopefully that can be done today face to face.

It is pretty amazing how badly run City and Chelsea are. Haaland is obviously the second coming of Ronaldo and yet the two richest clubs in England have decided to target different number 9's. If only they knew what the internet knows. That wherever Haaland goes, nobody else will win anything ever again.
This dishonest point yet again. No surprise coming from you

It is horrifying that City rely on such no-hopers as Pep, Txiki and Khaldoon who have let us down so consistently instead of following the advice of certain esteemed members of BM and playing musical chairs between north London and Dortmund. How can anyone not be prepared to wait a year to see whether we get Haaland, or Father Christmas. We might even get that "budding" Sergio though he's only 7 years old at the moment. After all Kane has never made "the difference" in the big games against .... despite his excellent performance against us at WH L last season, his free kick which rattled the woodwork at the Etihad at 0-0, his two goals at OT in that 6-1 drubbing and his one man demolition of Mourinho's Chelsea in Dec 2014 (?) to name those which come to mind. But then some minds seem to work at 16rpm when it comes to seizing the complex point that Kane is the player Pep wants and he is available at a price.

By the way, thanks for the posts which seem havens of genuine info among a sea of wind-up nonsense (some other posters obviously excluded). Never has BM been invaded by so many panicky rags, scousers and north Londoners.

Why have Chelsea shelled out £95 million on Lukaku instead of waiting a year? Are you sure you win things without morals (whatever you think they are)?
Maybe morals was the wrong word.....we cannt afford to say we wont deal with certain players/agents etc....We have to be ruthless/cut throatis probably more what i was trying to get at.

Chelsea (like us) needed a forward now...they (like us) probably believe they dont want to wait a year for Haaland to become available.

At least we’ve lost the West Midlands massive :-)

At the end of the day I don’t think Levy would accept £150 mill. The way Kane & his representatives have handled the situation has really just antagonised Levy and strengthened his resolve to refuse to sell even more. Has Levy really got Spurs interest at heart, or is it more important to get his ego massaged for refusing to bow to oil money, as the press and other clubs refer to it.

Very likely Dortmund just wont sell this summer.....

I think plenty of people will deal with Raiola when it comes to it....

Clubs know that they can save 50-70m by waiting a year and triggering his release clause next summer.....

yes they will have to pay Raiola and Alfie as well as the kid himself massive fees etc but lots of other clubswill do it..

You dont win anything in football with morals
What happens 3-4 years later when Haaland wants to move on like all Raiola clients do.

As long as Delap progresses Kane is the perfect signing. He’s one of the best strikers in the world, is in his prime and will give us 4-5 good years. Delap can develop and knows as long as he progresses he’ll be our number 9 by the time he’s 22. A lot of things can change in football but it’s perfect planning by the club if it comes off.

Levy wouldn't accept 150m, no quite right, he would rip our hands off!!

I changed careers in my early 40’s and would highly recommend the same to anyone who isn’t enjoying what they do for a living, if it’s at all possible of course - because sometimes it isn’t. Life’s too short and your working day takes up too much of your life to let it make you unhappy if you can possibly avoid it.
Please tell me that you were a career criminal who turned his life around.

Believe him at your own risk
Billy, and Tolmie, deal with the issue, which is whether City are actually going to agree a deal with Spurs, and their posts stick to this question. They both have "records" over the years which show that they always post in good faith and are right more often than not. That is a better record than most pundits and is miles better than a gang of WUM who want to waste our time by discussing the abilities of players City are clearly not trying to buy. I know you disagree with Billy, you are entitled to your opinion and I respect it but BM has been plagued by a bunch of no hopers who have appeared suddenly and have no aim other than to waste our time and derail what should be a fascinating thread.
