And, as if by magic, 5 minutes after posting this i had a punter with a Gucci, Rolex and some other fancy monstrosity.I put batteries in watches at work. I'm always amazed when someone brings in a really expensive watch thinking i'll do it for 3 quid.
He’s still telling me “get the Breit”. He’s a top bloke but I wouldn’t like to owe him any money. That's brilliant.
Ultimately though, its your taste and its your choice, take advice as ever in life.....but go with your gut and get what you like.
I’d they’re not an authorised dealer you take a chance when buying from them though.Out of interest, why/how are sites like that and Chrono24 able to sell these Tags so cheaply compared to authorised dealers?
I used to do the accounts at a garage a couple of years ago, similar thing, Customers would turn up in a Prestige car and when quoted Tyre prices would opt for the budget version, ten Bob millionaires, credit up to the hilt I'm guessing.I put batteries in watches at work. If someones brought you in a rolex quartz, that's a very rare watch indeed. And, as if by magic, 5 minutes after posting this i had a punter with a Gucci, Rolex and some other fancy monstrosity.

It will have "oysterquartz" on the dial.
They weren"t faked either, as far as i'm aware.
I noticed Prince William had a nice Bremont on some time ago. I like these too.I saw a programme recently on Bremont watches. I liked the look of them. The name isn't too familiar to me.
Are they worth the price.
My wife spotted an Oris on a flea market in Blackpool years ago. Bought it straight away for £100. Still going strong. She wears it most days.Certain watches shout 'watch guy' to the trained eye. Easy to spot, but it's not always obvious.
I've struck up many a convo with someone who is wearing an interesting piece, they always turn out to be knowledgable.
If someone owns an oris, they haven't bought it by accident or coincidence, as it's off the radar to most. Any watch on a nato, usually a watch guy.
Speedy on vintage leather, watch guy. Tag monaco, seiko skx, any orient, even the vostoks, all usually mean the same.
It's the first thing I look for when meeting someone.
Yeah, I know, i'm weird lol
I've had a few. Tridents mainly, and one quartz chrono.Anyone got a Christopher Ward?
Would you recommend one? I've a few Hamilton's but they're a bit boring.I've had a few. Tridents mainly, and one quartz chrono.
Yep, the trident is a great watch malg. The finishing is up there with watches costing a lot more. Built like a tank as well.Would you recommend one? I've a few Hamilton's but they're a bit boring.
He also has a seamaster that his mum bought him.I noticed Prince William had a nice Bremont on some time ago. I like these too.
Blimey roy, bit harsh.I already posted it here if you bothered going through the thread. Sad life you have lol.
