Have you ever thought that we might not want Saul, he might not want to come to us and it still wouldn’t solve the alleged LB problem.

Have you ever thought that it was a suggestion? I am allowed to suggest players “we might not want”. Maybe “we” think we don’t need a new CDM or LB and I’m allowed to say the club has it wrong. And Saul has been talked about at Liverpool too.

I think Ake would be fine defensively but going forward he could struggle with what Pep wants
 
The football world outside of England is in financial tatters desperate to offload players.

We have a former footballer who can barely jog or turn costing us every time he plays, genuinely think he's the worst left back in the league

And we still aren't linked with a left back from anywhere, we'd be able to pick one up from Europe for a song.

I would say every other LB in the PL is better than Mendy and that's just a fact.

And how people can take the piss out of Shaw, when we have Mendy is beyond me.

The Mendy situation is sad, but it has gone on far too long, he is simply not good enough, free him, pay him off and move along.

It works both ways though. How do we shift Mendy? Loan him to Troyes?
 
Left back is a glaring problem! We should be looking at loaning somebody with an obligation to buy (if we have no money left after signing a striker) similar to when Mbappe went to PSG! Zinchenko is a handy back up but Mendy not for me!
