Harry Kane

Juve get special treatment because the likes of Sassuolo can be gifted some bright talents from Juve's academy or some special deal in the future. In a weird way they are probably also quite patriotic and if Juve are strong then Serie A is strong.

None of our player want to go to play for spuds.

Indeed. That's exactly part of my point.

Patriotic? Perhaps a factor, yes, but maybe that is more because of the immense disparity between Juve and most Italian clubs and a club like Sassuolo "know their place."

PL/England clubs' wealth and global popularity fuels a highly competitive environment where no owner would ever want to help another, even if the owners were both English, I suspect, because it's not like the smaller clubs in the league depend as much on cozy relationships with and financial gains from the success of 1 club.

There could also be other factors that are not quite so magnanimous.

I think a lot of people underestimate the impact Kane will have if we sign him.

At out very best under Pep (2017-19) we had a 20+ PL striker in Kun, a 15-20 PL forward in Sterling and a 10-15 PL rotation striker in Jesus.

Kane will replace the goals we've lost from Kun. Sterling has still scored between 15-20 PL goals in 4 of the last 5 seasons and Jesus should be getting into double figure for league goals.

Add that fire power to our creative midfield and resilient defence and we could go a step further this season.

All we need is to average 2 goals a game from the whole team and we’ll win everything.

So if Tolmie's right, our squad going into the season will be:

Ederson, Steffen

Walker, Cancelo
Stones, Laporte
Dias, Ake
Zinchenko, Mendy

Rodri, Fernandinho
De Bruyne, Gundogan
Grealish, [?]

Mahrez, Sterling
Kane, Jesus
Foden, Torres

Just gotta play Levi at his own game, dont pay what they value him at and buy the Serb. Pulled the pin with other players down the years cant start now.

I assume that resilient defence is when Mendy isn't in the squad?
