Has all the hallmarks of a super spreader event - large crowd, in confined indoor space, not wearing masks, older adults, and based on the protest, it's likely that they're mostly unvaccinated.

With delta rampant, one wonders - how many of these idiots are going to contract serious cases of COVID ostensibly needing hospitalization - except that hospitals are full?

Quite simply they believe - firmly believe - that Covid-19 is a hoax - end of. Its all a plot by Liberals wanting to control Americans

Sadly it’s already a conspiracy theory. ‘Shedding’ I think is how it’s described- vaxxed people shedding infected skin causes the spread…

what baffles me about these wankers is that they believe in free speech and freedom of choice and want to prevent cancel culture - thats fine if that is what they want crack on. However they seem to think that the only way they get their way is to shut down discussion on vaccines, to stop other people being vaccinated and to cancel or shut down the vaccine program.

Very few in reality, which is why they aren't bothered.

And the ones that do die from COVID will definitely, defnitely have died of some other cause.

The mortality rate I'd seen posited about a year ago was 1-in-100.

The population pictured though appears to be older and thus more susceptible to poor outcome. On the other hand, assuming hospitalization is available, that's likely to cut down on mortality too.

Still - I'd guess that say 80% aren't vaccinated; say 50% of the unvaccinated catch covid within the next 3 years or so; and say 1% of those in the crowd that catch COVID, die. So we're at .8 x .5 x .01 = 4 in 1000 or so.

So yeah, not many will die - and because death from COVID is relatively low - it's still easy to dismiss the disease as a hoax or not very serious... just as one might infer from your remarks.
