From what we've heard, Bernardo's desire to leave is entirely personal and relating to geography, so I get the feeling he'd rather stay at City than move to another English team (as you've said).

can't we do a double loan with obligation to buy with Bernie, if he really wants to go? no-one wants to pay this summer so say we'll loan him with an obligation to buy for 60/70m next summer, in return a player in a position we need next summer comes on loan this summer and we put an obligation to buy in return? End up with a Joao Felix or a LB from someone. Get creative. We need a DM and LB so let's cover it off with a clever deal.
