Phone wouldn't scan at all for me and I must have tried 5 times. Then decided to use the bar code in the slot and in first time. Bar code option for me every time from now on.

3 different android phones between 3 us, all NFC enabled and not a single one of them scanned in. All three had to swipe down and scan barcode in reader instead.

Wouldn't even scan my barcodes. The assistants were useless.

Got bus at 2 from Piccadilly, 50 minutes later still a mile from stadium do got off and walked, got in straightaway. Club were lucky so many got there early. Will be different for a night match.

Arrived at 1.50 and queues at P were non existent. Walked in much quicker than my last pre Covid visit. Half price beer was a bonus too.

Phone took about two minutes to scan, and when it finally did the turnstile jammed and didn’t let me in.

Thankfully a steward on the inside saw what happened and let me in.

Entrance C for me, no queue and phone scanned instantly. I was expecting mayhem so pleasantly surprised.

Think they kept it right up to pre match after being late opening, tbf.
Might explain why they ran out of everything and only had bottles of Fanta at HT on ES1

Tried the NFC - no go. Straight to barcode - no issues. I know what I'll be doing going forward

No, not for us. We paid full price at around 2:20.

I think I'm right saying if you click on the card it'll pull up the barcode - but mine was an individual ticket as I've deferred

On Android (Google Pay) just under the image of the season card there's a 'Show code' text line. Clicking that brings up the barcode and the phone is actually inserted into the reader with the barcode facing up.

I think it might be different on iPhone Apple Pay.

Not sure how to get a screenshot on my phone.

My paper ticket worked fine, i was in the ground within seconds of arriving at 13:30hrs, daughter's mobile ticket wouldn't scan

The real queues started once you were inside, the concourse on east stand level 3 were a total shambles, i gave up after waiting for over hour to get served. They didn't bother opening the bars at half time apparently they ran out of beer

The NFC scanner took a couple of beats to work, about five seconds, but I reckon no one will remember this kerfuffle over mobile tickets in about five months.
