Strange that after a 5-0 win I'm even more desperate for this to happen. Kane would've had 3 on Saturday.

Our rivals have improved. I think Pep knows that we are missing a vital component this season and Kane ticks every box.

If the rumours are true and we are 25m-30m apart in valuation, I hope we fold for once and pay it. It could be the difference between a league title and another good crack at the Champions League.

Maybe I’m jumping the gun a bit here,but isn’t it slightly telling that delap signs a new long term contract and then is told he’s not going out on loan,yes we were most likely always looking to tie him down,but the word was he was going out on loan for the season,if we don’t get Kane hopefully we bring someone else in this last week of the window,hard yes but not impossible..

I must have missed something, isn't Gabriel Jesus our only recognized senior striker and if he is injured/suspended/out of form/tired we either have to play Delop who has a handful of first team games to his name or some kind of false number nine. You honestly think that there is no striker in England or Europe that wouldn't improve on that?

Jesus isn't playing as a striker, so when posters say there might not be another striker available that impoves us they probably mean improves the team, not improves individuals. As it's the team that matters, if the club don't see an option that improves the team is available then that's what it is. They obviously think Kane improves the team, and unless they have an alternative we don't know about then they think nobody else available improves the team otherwise they would buy the alternative.

Well seeing as the only out and out striker at the club is an 18 year old who has played twice, I suspect there are lots out there who will improve on what we already have

We can't rely on Torres or Jesus who have proved many times, despite having other qualities, that they're not goalscorer's. And we can't rely on the false 9 being as much of a success as it was last year, which was an exception

If we don't get a striker in this week I fear our chances of winning the PL, and certainly the CL, will be slim

there are probably pushing a 100 strikers knocking about who could get 30 games a season for us and not look rubbish, most or the domestic cup games, CL and bottom half teams at home you just need someone stood there tapping it in

I'm not saying I'm right... it's an opinion.. that's how these forums work eh

For me the false 9 was a one off last season. Our midfielders were in the goalscoring form of their life. Towards the end of the season, the better teams had sussed out this system and we weren't finding the same success with it

Go with it again and the Leicester and Spurs game will be repeated many times over the next 9 months

It's weird how people manage to convince themselves of lies like this.

Jesus is not an absolutely elite, top 5 in the world striker.

But over 5 years he's shown he'll score every 120 minutes or so when he starts. If he plays 38 games as a 9, he'll get 20 goals.

Kane might get 30 or 35, but Gabby is still a better striker than 15/16 clubs in the league have. We're still big favourites to win the league without Kane.

Was it not posted on here ( not this thread) that he wasn’t going out on loan after all Stoke I think were favourites but he’s staying now,unless I’ve got my wires crossed..

Last season we were pursuing multiple defenders with the striker weve basically done the opposite and appear to only want kane.

It could be due to lack of top quality strikers available. And I feel management have a very precise criteria for that striker, and that's why we didn't go after some of the big names who came available recently due to age and character.
