It's Quiet Thread 15 - Txiki Blinders

Richarlison reminds me too much of what we have in Jesus. Lewin to me is more and out and out striker. He scored a lot last year and his movement around the box is very good. And he scores a lot with his head. It’s like a younger Kane almost.
I'd rather we played mendy up front that sign this over-rated sack of diving mard arsed shit

Ronaldo would be the perfect addition...

I remember Juventus wanted to sign Jesus - so that they could balance Ronaldo during the "team pressing" and during the attacks they could swap positions, so that Ronaldo played from the wing and Jesus as a CF and as a result - leaving more space for him. Like he and Benzema used to be - during those Madrid years..

Imagine Foden-CR7-Jesus / Sterling trio in the attack - where he gets those crosses..
I don't even mention Penalties, which have become "Achilles Heel" since Balotelli burned everything and left for the Italy :D

And those "Train Till The End" vibes he could bring to the club and be a role model for the young players..

I mean.. Messi would have been perfect, but adding CR7 would be even greater.

But I think I already wasted my luck when Grealish was signed... :D

Anyway I keep dreaming, Txiki always surprises us - why not..

The Jesus - Richarlison partnership could be quite entertaining fwiw. I understand what you're saying on DCL, just never really seen him as involved in linkup, excellent header of the ball though.

I think in our side that creates so much he would thrive. Hell he core like 20 goals in all competitions or something last season? Or something like that. And that is with everton

Not sure of the finances of the 3 but for me it would be Kane Lewandowski Ronaldo in that order, whatever works money wise if we can get one of them I think that gives us the edge over everybody else with what I imagine would be 30+ goals from a striker and someone to finish all these chances we create
There is not a chance Ronaldo arrives.
Years of trying to avoid controversy to build the brand means you don’t go and sign a player with at least 1 court case hanging over him (allegedly).

Lewandowski for a couple of years at the right money (50m or less) would be phenomenal business.

Still hope we get Kane though …

Logged on to a load of videos and excitement earlier and now it’s all a bit downbeat. What happened?

Yes but everyone else has improved. Chelsea have a striker now that can score against teams outside of the top 6. That’s a massive threat, City need a striker. Lukaku bullied defenders and held the ball up for them linking play. We don’t have that neither do we have a finisher in the box. If Lukaku scores 20 to 25 goals they will win the league and they are favourites right now.

it would be arrogant and stupid from the club to go into a season without a recognised striker.
basically handicapping pep.

last season we were brilliant in the league but our opposition were weak, Liverpool had CB injuries. Chelsea didn’t have a good coach till Tuchel came in Now with good management they look a force. This season will be incredibly more difficult if we can’t get a finisher in to finish our chances such as we would have beaten Spurs if we had someone up front who could put the ball in the back of the net. Kane does not miss that Mahrez chance.

if we get a striker in I think it will be close but we will edge it due to our superior creative options. If we don’t get a finisher in, I’m resigned to us losing the title.
We won’t and can’t win the league every year… The sooner people realise that the better. We should of beaten Spurs regardless, the players we have are good enough and should be putting those chances away.
In reality we can’t just spunk a load of cash each window and become the team everyone labels us as, we can’t just buy the league and nor do I want us too. Competition is good, losing titles makes you stronger! I’d always said we’d lose a CL final before we ever won one, I was right! But I tell you what, we’ll not lose our next final thats for sure as we’ve tasted that defeat and will be stronger for it.
