You could argue it was a pretty stupid move by him not realising it weeks ago, leaving us only a few days to sort out a new striker which has been our nr1 priority for several months.If we did put in our last and final bid yesterday with a deadline on it, then it was a smart move by Txiki given it leaves time to look for an alternative.
Yes losing out on Kane is a bummer but it would have been a hard pill to swallow if we'd had got played by Levy and it happened on deadline day. At least we still have time.
