The longer time goes on here, the more I warm to this happening. He’s a different animal finishing wise which, in itself, is enough to bring him in.

Add to that, it’d devastate a lot of utd fans and also boost our City ‘brand’ at such a cut-price...

His age doesn’t matter really either given he’s a freak of nature fitness wise.

The rest is a bit speculative. I feel we'd hear something more definitive otherwise.

Seems like we put out the “we have doubts”, “unlikely” etc reports and sent Mendes back so he could work something reasonable with Juventus. If we put out “Pep is super excited about it!” out there, the tone of these negotiations would be extremely different

I don't understand why people listen to rumours on twitter and from journalists, when the player and the club have actually come out and spoken on the situation - how much more certain can it be.
