Cristiano Ronaldo

The Kane deal was complicated by Levy wanting £150m.

I haven't seen anything to the Ronaldo deal that looks remotely complicated. Juve want a fee of around 25m Euros. Ronaldo seemingly would be happy with 2 year deal. The most important thing here is that City need a goalscorer and Ronaldo needs a club who can win titles.
Are the complications not:

- City don’t want to pay a penny on transfer fee
- Ronaldo needs to roughly third, or at the very least halve, his wages
- Probable differing valuations of any player involved in a potential swap deal

Sam Lee saying “complicated but possible” seems about right really?

This could be a very shrewd signing indeed. Juve as of late haven’t been nearly as good as the years before and their midfield is horrible. Imagine Ronaldo being served by the likes of Grealish and KDB.

Why we trying to penny pinch then over one of the greatest goal scorers of all time? We’ve got 5 days to get a striker and we were about to spend over 100m on Kane. If he’s up for signing we need to get this wrapped up as soon as.

Might change my screen name to SR7 if this comes off.

If juve want it done, if the player wants it done and if pep want it done and it doesn't get done, you do have to wonder wtf is going on on the background when we've a summer net-spend of £40-50m. 2 years is ideal for loads of reasons - Torres/delap development, scouting and preparation for a marquis signing in a year or two, pep's succession plan if he decides to go, GOALS.

Robinho, Nasri, Tevez, Balotelli. We've had so many characters play for this club just in the past decade. Pep is the only one who brought a culture change

I think most people on here are stuck with the 22 year old Ronaldo who was at United, rather than the player he is now.

His attitude seems to have changed a lot over the past 5 or so years, they talk about it a lot in Portugal where he's gone from being very unforgiving of his teammates for not being on his level to a real captain and mentor to the group. Dias and Bernardo absolutely worship him, whereas teammates from a decade ago like Nani couldn't stand him a lot of the time.

PS. Don't think it's fair on the others to include them with convicted gang rapist Robinho.

Rags and the reception he will get at the swamp. Like he’s really going to be bothered by that. This guy does not hide and turns up for the big games (sorry Harry that wasn’t a dig).

Why does he want to go to the rags, he wants to win trophies. He has been at Madrid before and Ancelotti has to rebuild that team, he has no time to waste doing that.
If he did go down the road they would have a better chance of winning something. Could you imagine his ego if they did that.
