Hey Blues while I am for Ronaldo to City, due to the facts already discussed by many of the blues on the thread I was wondering on ONE VERY SPECIFIC Point!

why did Pep out of the blue come out and say he is walking at the end of 2023 season? Specially after Kane confirming he is staying bad timing? Or is it that May be he got wind of Ronaldo discussions and him, Soriano and Txiki are in the No camp.

And Khaldoon has over ruled them all and said we are on. Question to well informed ones amongst us, knowing that we always try to project a cohesive front to media from the club do you think there is a divide on this amongst our top brass?
And this is a Abu Dhabi signing from Sheikh Mansour and Khaldoon specially after PSG did Messi?

cheers ;)

pure shite there

For those that have ever followed NBA basketball Michael Jordan, arguably and in my mind the greatest player of all time, was a total dick of a teammate. He was very unforgiving and demanding of those around him.

But you know what else he was when he played? He was an absolute winner. He was driven to be the best he could be and wanted those playing with him to be the best they could be too. Hell towards the end of his career he altered his game because he knew he was older and had to in order to still be as good as he wanted to be (sounds like Ronaldo) on the court. He was still pretty damn good.

I see similarities between Jordan and Ronaldo. Two men driven to be the best and want their teammates to work as hard as they do. If they are calling for the ball or waving their arms it means they are confident they will succeed when they have it. I'd prefer that over a player that shrinks from an opportunity because of doubt in the back of their mind.

PSG is the main concern I have. Can see them going for ronaldo if mbappe does indeed leave. Messi, ronaldo and neymar as a front three.

Think we will know by end of today whether we can get a deal done
Sounds good on paper and from a marketing point of view but those two would be in competition with each other for top scorer. Can see a lot of selfish play. Also the way Ronaldo is, I don't think he'd want to be directly competing with Messi in the same team. He likes it all about him and can show that in the most watched league having chances put on a plate just for him.

Wow. Is this a story you’re writing? Pointless question because nobody knows the answer & it’s really just conspiracy theories.

Why not just accept that we wouldn’t be reeled in by Levy so Kane lost out. Pep was doing an interview & just stated that he’d probably need a break when his contract was finished & managing a national team sounded interesting - at least he’s not eyeing up a job at a rival team. Furthermore he could yet stay!!

Either way, we’ve had 7 years if the best manager during that period but change isn’t always bad so it’s a win win situation for us. Why make it into a bad thing??

People are tracking planes now? SIUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
We've been tracking planes for at least 10 years on here. Plus @Cellarite can be called on at anytime to get his arse to Manchester airport or Barton Aerodrome to confirm the players. He has an infinite supply of corned beef and HP sauce butties

The two people apparently most desired by City were Messi & Pep. Pep, Soriano & Txiki essentially run the football side of things.

I could see a situation where Pep wanted us to go balls deep for Grealish & Kane, & we did it for the former, but had reservations over the latter. We missed out on Kane, & Pep is seriously pissed, who knows. 2023 is 2 years away, & that's a long time in football. Pep's never had it so good at a club, so perhaps a little bit of time to calm down & reflect is what's needed by everyone.

I have no doubt that two years of Ron will serve City well , even at 36. He can be a true CF unlike Messi. Something just does not sit right with the Harry situation. The fact he personally announced this change of heart is strange. Talk about 150 million for months and then more recently City offering 75 million with add ons, having paid 100 million for Jack is bizarre to say the least. As a previous club doctor I have my own suspicions which have been ridiculed by certain posters, but so be it. I guess we will never know. Maybe when Sir Harry writes his memoirs in 2 years when his ankles and knees are screwed, perhaps literally.

Not making this into a bad thing at all. It’s a general discussion, fully for Ronaldo what he brings commercially and for on field.

just seemed a little odd Pep bringing this up. We all know cycles come to end eventually pep’s will aswell just his timing was odd.
