Its simple really. He is a global brand all on his own. The Etihad and Puma deals was touted at the time to be fluid. As in we get a increase for targets like the CL final. Do you honestly think Ronaldo will not give us any increase in revenue.Juve may not sell a fuck ton of extra shirts.but i guarantee city will. This deal will be the biggest in our history. People saying this do realise he's represented by Jorge Mendes, right? A guy who is an actual professional, has very good links with City and a number of players at our club.

He's not about to go out of his way to piss off our board ffs.

As I've said before, if it was someone like Riola or that clown who represents Yaya then I'd be more skeptical, but Mendes conducts business like a proper grownup.

If Ronaldo had an offer from the Rags and insisted that's where he wanted to go, Mendes would have to do the deal. That's his job
