City need a striker but 1 year is not the end of the world, especially because we can still be successful without one. It's hardly a write off, when we basically have the same team that won the double and got to the CL final with the addition of one of the PL's best talents in Jack Grealish.

If our board were as incompetent as some of the posters on here would have you believe, then surely we'd be pretty unsuccessful, right? You'd imagine we are on a long barren spell, right? Maybe 5, 10, 20 years since we won something?

Win win from my perspective. The meltdowns from United fans over the last few days has been hilarious. As you say united don't need him either, which is going to be interesting to see how the clashes of those egos plays out.

I wanted us to sign him as he guarantees goals. But it wouldn't have been a long term signing and I've disliked him for so long it would have been weird wanting him to succeed.

I'm more concerned about City not strengthening in an area we need to, than what Ronaldo does.
