according to sources close to us, we were offered him and we said no so it all depends on the sources that you believe but those sources come from mainstream media close to the club........but the twatteraty were going on that it was a done deal, they were mentioning salary figures, they were mentioning two year deals, that personal terms were agreed etc etc etc......it looks like we didnt even get that far.....Sorry mate this is bollocks

He's had multiple lengthy chances to prove himself and fill in for an on the table Aguero- he was marginal as a striker. I legit think he does not see himself as a striker- is more comfortable and able to use his undoubted dynamism on the edges. TBH it's honestly alot to ask a maybe 5'9 125ish lb player to grind week in and week out as a PL striker especially when he has stated as much he does not prefer to play there.Looking like we've missed the boat with a new striker
