If Ronaldo is on the reported 480k per week then I’m glad we dropped out of the race. Trafford are fucking small time, signing a player just so we can’t have him.

Small time fucking wankers and there’s no way they’ll be in for Haaland nor Chelsea for that matter.

I actually think we’ve played a blinder here. Forced the rags to shit themselves and sign Ronaldo for 2 years and walked away from giving Levy the dosh for Kane. Chelsea have got Lukaku so effectively ruling them out of the Haaland race. We’ve done pretty well here in my opinion.
 
We were trying to replace Aguero, statistically the best overseas player the PL has had. We've had at least one year, probably two, to know he needed replacing. You can't do that in the last four days of a transfer window, those deals will take months to resolve. So we either buy a Danny Ings type to be the long-term backup and probably best choice this season, or we go into the season with only one player anyone would call a striker, and even he wants to play in another position. Worse, we blow the Kane money on some striker who's first name will be FFS by Xmas.

Yet again we win the league, look at a glaring issue with the squad and decide to chance it. Whilst we won it last season, the others have strengthened and a better points total is going to be required. And that's ignoring the issues at left back even before this week's, er, news.

Yes we tried for Kane, but that should have been a pretty simple deal - ring Levy, ask him how much and then you either pay it or you don't. There's no negotiation, he doesn't do it, the best you might manage is some of it on tick. Doesn't make him some master negotiator, as it's not a negotiation, it's a fixed price. Why we therefore spent months staring at the fax machine trying to decide what offer to make rather than laughing at the quoted price and moving on is beyond me.

Brilliant! "this fucking whimpering sickness" is so spot on it's unbelievable. If the City players were ever so spineless as to catch it we'd be back in the third tier before we could say Harry Kane. We've not had the transfer window we hoped for and expected, but then again neither Khaldoon nor any of the others can make cast iron promises. Players are transferred as a result of negotiation and agreement and City don't want just any old players - our team demands the best or we get worse. And the typical Bluemoon negotiating ploy from a bunch of cry babies of "take what we'll give you or do one" doesn't work too well. Oh and then if at first you don't succeed give up because our masterminds are fed up of all this. We haven't achieved our aims and got a striker and we may not get one. Disappointing, but the transfer market is quite often disappointing. But if Tolmie says there are four days left and a deal is always possible I won't argue because that's much more like the Txiki and Omar and others that I recognise than the indolent incompetents many on here seem to imagine. Our people will have done what they can, are doing what they can and will continue to do what they can. But it is "what they can" and not miracles, turning Levies into Bluemooners.

Might as well everyone else seems to know what’s already been agreed, just like Kane is imminent, Messi is signing and Ronaldo is on his way.
If this transfer window has taught us anything it’s that nothing is done till it’s written down in black and white.

But, United have gone in for Ronaldo(at the last minute) to stop City buying him.

I wonder if he's realised the double edged sword it is.

You cant do anything except be in a title race right to the end and keep your job after getting Sancho and Ronaldo and Varane in 1 window.

Frankly I dont think he keeps his job without the league or CL this season. 5 years without a trophy and keep your job? No chance.

Ronaldo's 2 year deal is a ticking clock, just as it was for Juventus, and it brings a lot more scrutiny.

He cant afford anymore 1-1 draws at Southampton.
