Oddly friends and I were talking about something similar to this at the weekend. We had quite a debate as to whether clubs had decided to band together and not sell players to us, or buy from us unless at inflated prices and was this a concerted effort to trim our sails so to speak. Suppose the test will come if a player is 50 - 50 as to sign for us or someone else. Grealish appeared to want us, perhaps that will be what is needed in the future. What is irritating is that they never appeared to have been bothered when other clubs were in the ascendancy.

Considering the letter from the " hateful 8 " it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility.

We clearly present a threat to the future prospects of success for a number of clubs and so anything which can hamper our progress might be the thinking when we are involved in transfer negotiations.

Or it could just be that we are seen as having plenty of money and therefore a chance to grab some of it .

Greed and envy are formidable partners .

That's me back home and so happy to say they found nothing sinister and the staff were brilliant putting me at ease and dismissing any embarrassment.

Might have to knock gluten and certain foods on the head to try and ease my stomach pains.

As others said, the drinking of the Movi prep 24 hours is really tough going, certainly compared to the procedure.

Haha - this is what happened. A few years ago, Big Dave started posting his opinions on various transfer threads. They were all negative responses - "Not gonna happen," "No, not happening," etc. He even posted these negative comments on threads of players we ended up buying. Nobody took it seriously. Even Big Dave thought it was funny - he happily acknowledged he was about as ITK as my cat.

But then, weirdly, as new people started joining they were unaware of his KFA status and they started taking his KFA comments as ITK. And then, most strangely of all, BIG DAVE started taking himself seriously!!

And he has taken himself seriously ever since, even though he's STILL a KFA. It seems he became hooked on his totally imaginary ITK power. The power of delusion!

Strange but true. And a little sad.

I guess by overriding sentiment is that I feel that we are a very well run club with top professionals in charge - especially Khaldoon - and then tend to be confident that if they make a serious move for Messi then it has been well thought through - same if they place a limit on a fee for Kane

I like Khaldoon as well. It’s just disappointing when you watch his interview at the end of the season and believe his promises, and they don’t come to fruition. No number 9, no creative deals etc. Well at least so far - two more days! And I’ll probably skip his next interview

If Pep had a list and it was reported - who was B, C, D etc.

And I agree re the benefit of investing in a young up and coming (although I see Delap in that category) - but again if they were identified and on a list that has been reported - who are they?

I would love to know as well!
