Maybe we can apply for an emergency loan situation to cover our goalkeeping crisis. What's John Burridge up to these days?
The rule exists for exactly that reason, to stop players from skipping games "injured" and turning out for their club a day or so laterNeed to learn from the Rags and have all our players pull out through “slight injuries” In future.
seriously though what a disgrace, we pay the wages, tell them to fuck off and play them, makes a farce of the PL with teams having to play weakened teams ( bar the rags of course who cannot play Fred) , our case a poor 3rd choice keeper, all because of refusing to send them to a country on the Governments red list.
The FA/PL should be all over this
I love it when sensible factual posts like this totally take the steam out of the piss boilers. Not to red list countries, they won't. The government couldn't provide exemption from the players having to quarantine in a hotel near Heathrow for 10 days.
So it is definitely not a ridiculous excuse and it wasn't just City who decided this. It was all Prem teams and the league itself
Not as confident as you about that, he looked a bit rusty in that 4-3 win at Newcastle last season.Carson in goal isnt going to lose us a game.
There's nothing wrong with the rule usually, but it's just a classic case of a complete lack of flexibility when it comes to rules (unlike their accounting) at a time when they clearly don't make sense. It's not as if teams are refusing to release players to be dicks. The rule exists for exactly that reason, to stop players from skipping games "injured" and turning out for their club a day or so later
How fucking bent that they can pick and chose. The worst part is Richarlison is being allowed to play because Everton and the Brazilian FA get along.
