Scotland flipped to the SNP domesically well before Brexit, thats true because they are an effective centre left party. Scotland didn’t flip towards independance which is a totally different thing until after brexit and a particularly extreme brexit deal at that. So if you don’t mix up a SNP domestic government and a growing Independence support, then an extreme Brexit has led to that growth in support.when you said “Westminster voted through a Brexit that was as extreme as it was possible to be” that wasn’t the case.
Scotland had flipped to the SNP well before the Brexit deal was voted through WM.
You’re right on the last part actually, but it would have been a pretty close run thing.
