Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

I actually thought it was a decent turn out tonight for a CL group game, particularly in the circumstances.
It was in the end. What was the attendance about 44k? Lot of students in our bit though so prob gave a lot away. Traffic was a mare on M602 coming in and Regent Road heading out. No wonder people give it a swerve

I’m an old in, I remember the best of atmospheres at Maine Road when we were good and when we were shit. Not once at Maine Road can I remember a quiet atmosphere at a night cup match, not once can I remember a derby match without Atmosphere or one where United out sang us at home. Then came the League Cup Semi Final of 2020 ( pre covid) …. Worst atmosphere I’ve ever encountered

What Pep wants is a full stadium but more importantly he wants a fantastic atmosphere to drive the team on. Not 90% sitting like statues and offering no support.

Really, what do we, as City fans want? We will never see this football again.

At Pep’s beloved Barca in the year they won the treble. This was the group stage attendances.

58k v Sporting Lisbon.
48k v Basle
22k v Shakter Donestk

Did he moan about the Barca support then? No because he respected the Barca fans so he should shut the fuck up about us, we will be here long gone after him and his two cronies.

If Pep wants a full stadium he should have a word with Soriano, because that isn't going to happen with our ticket prices, the ticketing system, and COVID still about.

Don't worry, PSG will sell out, and the atmosphere will be great.

If Pep has a problem with 50,000+ against Southampton on Saturday, that's his problem.

Pep has been at City long enough to know and understand our fan base.

The place will be bouncing when it gets to the knockouts like it always is in the big games. Why do people moan and back up peps comments you massive weirdos. You want cup final like atmosphere every week or something?? What teams do you watch who has that

Klopp called out a shite Anfield atmosphere, and that helped trigger a CL win for them. There's tickets left for games, if there wasn't he wouldn't need to ask for fans to turn up. Atmosphere has been good in the league this season, and pretty flat tonight. There's always an excuse, but players and the manger notice, what can you say.

Not bad first half hour

Completely silent middle half hour (loudest noise in that half hour was Rodri slapping his though in frustration at the ref), bloody awful from us in the stands.

Sung somewhat in the last half hour.

3/10

i think that’s harsh and depends where you are sat. My voice is near enough gone and in 119 thought it was decent.

for the bigger games we’ve got a pretty good atmosphere

Tickets cost £20 tonight. I paid that for Stockport vs Grimsby two weeks ago!

Don't see many statues sitting, maybe some old General on horseback but I get your point ;-)
