Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

The normal trick is to show the empty away end, or use one just after half time when the corporate wankers haven’t gone back to their seats.

Failing that use a picture from a completely different game when they players aren’t on the pitch.

No you will back him because he wins football matches. Being insecure has fuck all to do with it. He is an employee nothing more. I don't go to matches anymore so I couldn't care less what he thinks. If he wants to continually slag off the match going fans that's up to him.

I'm not daft enough or desperate enough to fall for his laughable excuses though. People are so transparent when it comes to stuff like this.
I don't think he continually slags off the support though, mate. I think that's a huge over exageration.
You're coming at this from a point of view where you're not that fussed about him anyway, you've never really taken to him which is fair, it's your opinion.
I think he's been absolutely amazing for this club. Nowhere near perfect but as good as we will ever get.

They have listened but chosen to interpret them in their own way. Wrongly, in most cases but there's many posters on here who are using this incident as an excuse to vent at him in general because he apparently threw the CL final, he's just a Barcelona fan boy, he doesn't get the club, he's part of the Spanish mafia (whatever the fuck that means) and he gives other clubs too much respect.
All absolutely bollocks but I've read all of those accusations against him over the last few days.
We've some fucking odduns following this club.
It’s like when Keane said this;
“There were one or two stray passes and they were getting on players' backs. It's out of order. I don't think some of them can even spell football, let alone understand it. Away from home our fans are fantastic. But at home they have a few drinks and probably the prawn sandwiches, and they don't realise what's going on out on the pitch.”

Or Ferguson when he said;
“The crowd were dead. That was the quietest I have heard the crowd and it's disappointing because we needed the crowd today. We have come through a difficult period of game after game and in moments like these we need a lift. But it was like a funeral out there."

Or Klopp;
“It was very, very quiet today. There is a lot of frustration and disappointment. You could hear in the stadium”.
and
“After the goal on 82 minutes, with 12 minutes to go, I saw many people leaving the stadium. I felt pretty alone at this moment. We decide when it is over. Between 82 and 94 [minutes] you can make eight goals if you like.”

You can’t say Keane Ferguson or Klopp don’t get the United and Liverpool fanbases. I’ve not got a problem at all with Pep’s comments and I welcome them if it shakes up our fanbase.

I think Pep should be intelligent enough to not bring up anything to do with attendances. Because a) The rag infested media in this country will take anything spoken about our crowds and use it to criticise the club and b) We as supporters are a bit touchy about the whole thing. Mainly because of the media's spin on it which has us all constantly having to defend the club we support in the face of knuckle dragging plebs spouting mis information they've read in the media.

He passionately feels that his group of players that have won so much and played so well deserve more recognition. One source if this recognition us supporters paying through the turnstiles to witness a fantastic team provide entertainment and more trophies. We do not get the recognition we deserve in the media and Pep I think see's that but he's barking up the wrong tree commenting on our crowds in my opinion and should be more savvy on a sensitive situation that we as fans get shit for daily.

Fuckall wrong with our crowds. Could be a bit more noisy maybe at times but overall we're fucking impeccable

You don't know if he will the best we will ever get. Domestically good in Europe bad. That isn't an unbeatable record. He has mentioned the support several times that is just a fact. Like I said previously he is an odd fella. With hindsight he probably wishes he had kept his gob shut.

I'm not having his rather pathetic excuses mind or those from the fans who idolise him so much. Maybe this will be the last time he puts his foot in his mouth on this subject.

If fans are a bit touchy about having the piss taken out of them, I don’t think football is the sport for them. Time they went and got another hobby where they won’t be offended by a bit of banter.

Top post that

If posters don't like other posters being critical of the manager every now and then I don't think the bluemoon forum is for them. Time they went and got another social media site that won't offend there big blue love in.

Easy this shit:-)

Absolutely this. As soon as this happened some of them came out of the woodwork. Some of the poisonous comments on here were from fans supposedly representing us 2nd class fans who aren't paid up members of their club.

I suspect the ocs heard the comments from Pep and whipped themselves up into a frenzy over it.

Pep was a knob, but our supporters group then amplified it all. I understand their benefits to us fans but some of the comments in here (from them?) have sounded elitist, bullish, certainly not constructive. It's almost as if the club have upset them so much they're flexing their political muscle.

But what do I know, I am only going off what I see from the outside.

Yes the club being tight lipped just adds fuel to the fire. I agree, they should reaffirm the current ‘match day’ capacity and they should publish the attendance ASAP after each game. I can’t understand why they don’t anymore. It takes a few seconds to get the correct figures I’m sure.826EDD8C-E8E3-405F-BEE0-A457B7F321DE.jpegwhat i understand is why this attendance which is correct isn’t being broadcast by the club.

I doubt we will ever have a manager for as long as we have had Pep so whilst you're correct that I don't know for sure I'm pretty confident in my thinking. I am sure that no other manager after Pep will have the same impact on the club than he has.
I agree he probably wishes he'd kept quiet but only because of the furore it's created, not because he disagrees with what he was trying to get across.
I'm probably too old to idolise anybody these days but yeah, I'm a fan of his.

Mountain out of a molehill. Those fans that seem to be over-sensitive because the rags and others might give them stick over attendances need to grow a backbone. They don't even have the sense to realise that blowing Peps comment out of all proportion plays directly into the hands of those very same people. Stop being so easily offended - you'll probably enjoy the game more.

I respect your choice not to Andy.

What I'm saying is that it seems rather hypocritical for anyone to claim to be a supporter of a club when not being a member (or in some cases being unaware) of the official supporters club.

It's the basic difference between supporters and fans.
I think if you’re a true blue, you should sleep under Etihad pitch or in the car park. Anyone living beyond those areas is not a local fan and doesn’t really get the club.

As unfair as it may sound its all about one trophy before he leaves. This will define his legacy with us. Had he won that game last season I would readily admit his record would be hard to beat. As of now I think a future manager could surpass him.

Too many variables out of our control though.

Keep living in denial and worshipping a the myth of a manager who never existed in reality.

In this thread when defending Pep it's the media twisting and making shit up.

Then media are then used to validate a story no one on here knows about for sure.

Seems weird to give leeyway for one circumstance and take the other as gospel
