Players who might improve us

Unlucky that Osimhen sold his soul to De Laurentiis basically. They paid €70M for him, I reckon he'd ask double that to start any negotiations.
 
We had supposedly £100 million of Kane money set aside and we couldn’t get a left back or a striker or a defensive midfielder in now if that was in a normal job the main recruiting guy would be sacked end off . Just cannot can’t believe we went from the chance of winning everything to going into a season when we knew all our rivals had strengthened to doing nothing about the problem areas . This wouldn’t have happened before the Spanish connection came in and no wonder pep is fed up as he feels betrayed by the higher ups .

With Grealish we have already improved a squad that won the PL with months to spare, the Carabao cup, semi-finals of the FA Cup, and final of the CL. Could easily have won all 4 with a bit of luck. Foden will be better, Torres will be better and we also have Delap and Lavia who could surprise a few. The squad is fine, injuries happen to all teams
 
Imagine your strategic role in a business is to replace a critical piece of equipment that really needed replacing 2 years ago and has now been de-commissioned.
Imagine explaining to your CEO why you never succeeded in achieving that task.
a) I spent most of my time chasing an older piece of equipment that had been amazing but was hugely expensive and realistically we were highly unlikely to get.
b) I then chased around after another quite old piece of equipment that might have done us for 3 years but the seller was never going to sell at the price we wanted to pay.
c) There is another very promising piece that would be very expensive as well so I never asked.

CEO: You're Fired.
 
Southampton merely showed us what we knew, so when the Kane deal died we should have been all over Bissouma, but on another note Walker peters had a good game against us at left wing back, he was decent the last time he played against us as well.

Brighton were never going to sell Bissouma this summer once White had gone for £50M
