Players who might improve us

trying to think of players we can bring in that can cover at lb! Zinchenko is great but can't be expected to play every game and I have no faith in Mendy at the moment between his injuries and attitude and with delph and danilo rumoured to be leaving think we need another option. Would rather keep danilo but I can understand if he wants to move for more game time.
Miguel Layun? Has played in the league for a spell with Watford, and has experience with big clubs (not to the level of ours however) in Spain and ot 70ish Portugal. He's an important part of the Mexican national team.

Importantly, he can play both right and left back and equally good going forward and defending. He's got good pace and pretty adept at crossing the ball. The down side is, he's 30. However, maybe we could use him in a rotation at right and left back for two or three years?

Youcef Atal looked fantastic against PSG and got a hat trick last weekend against Guingamp.

Started off as a right back but Vieira has pushed him further up onto the right side of a front three. He has plenty of pace and directness and is a proper tenacious dribbler. Even as a potential fullback option, he's certainly not the biggest but doesn't shy away from a challenge and times slide tackles well. He's also confident in possession when put under pressure.

Might not be the player for us right now but I think he'll be playing for a much bigger club than Nice very soon.

What about Nathan Ake for Otamendi if he leaves

How much would they want for him £30m ?

Just came in to post this. Can play LB as well so if we're not signing one thats extra cover. He's great on the ball, and his pace would be a fantastic asset because it would take away some of our reliance on Walker when it comes to defending quick players on the break.

£40m might be more likely though.
