From what I've seen of the kids this season they are operating in a higher gear than the first team compared to the speed the latter mustered on Sunday for 88mins.

None of our academy players are rapid. Pep ball requires slow measured football until finding the space and then quickly transitioning to attack. We score through positioning and movement, not pace.

It could both positively or negatively. Lavia could have come on, lost the ball that conceded the winning goal and his confidence gets shot.

So there’s no hope then. I remember we started with real pace….scored in the first 15 minutes….dominated and went on to destroy teams. Game was usually over by halftime. Happy days.
