I don't agree.You don't loan a 17yr old to another club,especially a potential cauldron and 'sleeping giant' like Sunderland,unless the topic is a rare and special breed.

Mbete is still coming back from a season long injury, there's no way we'd be letting someone else manage his recovery regardless of anything else.

If City decided that one of them needed game time elsewhere then it was always going to be Doyle.

Yeah I think Callum has moved ahead of Mbete with his performances when the latter was injured last season. Both great prospects though but Callum is a year younger and already tearing it up in a high pressure situation in men’s football

There are graphics on that blog post that reflect what I saw watching the full match replay the other day. The field tilts toward CD as they start out of the back with possession. Sunderland look to get him the ball then get open because he'll zing it to you wherever you are on the pitch. Its also interesting that his new left fb wingman is a 19yo England youth named Dennis Cirkin who is starting to impress. Cirkin played for the U20s with Mcatee vs Romania recently, to give context. Can't hurt CD's dev to have a non-lumberjack nearby in possession.

Only joined them this summer from Spurs academy apparently.

100 per cent know their stuff the Sunderland fans, generally have all played a bit.
 
I guess the question going forward is can he and Luke play together as both are naturally left. I suppose there are plenty of right sides partnerships

He entered the shitshow from the bench,just after HT and 3 -0 down.Apparently conditions which were atrocious,and not fit for playing football,so he had little opportunity to impress with his passing game.

The positives....they only let one in while he was on the pitch,it will have been an excellent experience,and its good to see he is fit again.

I suspect this is a one off for Sunderland this season.
