Not the case. We've lost just 1 in the last 7 games against them.

0-0 2-1 18/19
1-3 4-0 19/20
1-1 4-1 20/21

plus the Community Shield win on pens

was that the game when VAR refused to see the handball giving us a pen which led to them scoring for the first.

it always shits me when they say we don’t perform when often the players did but the officials crumbled.

Not going for the 1st time in years.

Can’t be arsed with all the plastic Norwegian c*nts giving it 6x’s for 90 minutes.

1-1.

I think most City fans agree with this line up. Although Pep praising Sterling for the PSG performance has me thinking he could take the place of Jesus. I wouldn't be surprised if he drops Stones in out of nowhere as well for Laporte.
I know Grealish was frustrated the other night but he never seems fazed and he'll lap up the Anfield crowd. I'll be upset if he sits out the game. Especially with Trent out. Foden is another who seems to relish these games, he was fantastic last season and that finish was sublime. KDB, Foden, Grealish and Silva need to start IMO.
Like most people have said keep them at bay for the usual onslaught at the start and dictate play. Hopefully we have learnt our lesson from past years. Last year was fantastic but the non Anfield crowd narrative needs shutting up.

If Sterling comes in for anyone it'll be Grealish IMO.

Jesus and Foden's energy will be essential.

Michael Oliver showed what a great referee he was that day, not biased at all.

Foden for Raheem please.

I forgot how much I hate these after fake Ron's homecoming but when I see them twats singing they're jingle and judas milner charging into people and that snide ned Robertson frothing at the mouth salah and mane throwing themselves to the floor il remember who our actual title rivals are. Absaloute c*nts

City need 100% commitment from every player for this game. There is no room for passengers or players falling over themselves or missing absolute sitters. That rules Sterling out for this one.

will be interesting to see if the players shit the bed with their fans back in like we seem to do in the past? I really hope pep trusts himself and the players like we did against chelsea?

If Pep plays the same team as vs Chelsea, there will be 5 changes in comparison to the line-up from the last game at Anfield: Laporte and Walker in for Stones and Zinch, and KDB, Grealish and Jesus in for Gundo, Sterling and Marez respectively.

What's the main difference between both line-ups? The one vs Chelsea is superior in terms of physicality and energy compared to that from February (e.g. Walker, Grealish and Jesus vs Zinch, Raz and Mahrez) and also more creative (KDB and Grealish vs Gundo and Raz). It is probably less likely to get bullied by Liverpool and the croud.

I expect the performance on Sunday (provided the players have recovered from the last 2 difficult games) to be at least as good as in February, probably even better. The result depends also on chance and referees, so hopefully it's good for us.

Terrible vivid dream about this last night. We're 1 -0 up and playing well until the 70th minute. They equalise, (Walker mistake), we're shaken, they and the rabid crowd are stirred; we lose 4 -1 :-(

there should be no excuse for tiredness etc as the dippers played on the same night and in portugal so that doesnt come into the equation.

But they played Brentford before that, not the CL champions. And they struggled vs Brentford precisely because they were saving energy and didn't press properly.

So they drew a game, that was a brilliant one by the way because they were thinking let’s save energy? Almost lost because they were saving energy to play a bag of shite in Europe on the Tuesday or do you think they were thinking 8 days ahead and saving this energy for us?

There was also a very dodgy offside decision which did not appear to be examined by the boys in the back of the van.
