FFS absolutely the worst time to have an injury. He is missing an amazing opportunity because of this.

Ouch, I started reading that thinking it was good news. Presuming there's no further setbacks it looks like it'll be January before he's fully back up to speed.

People say foden was slowly introduced but by the delap's age now, foden already had around 1000 senior football minutes, delap has 130. if he doesn't play this season that gap will get bigger.

He was injured for the first 6 weeks of the season, he was going nowhere.

Also Delap isn't Foden.

the hell does that mean? you're right, he's not foden, he's playing in a position where we have far less depth and is physically way better than foden was at that age. all the more reason why minutes for him right now were so important and sadly now will have to take a lot longer.

If we can get him fit I'd be looking at a loan from January to build him up a bit then ignore this season all together and start again in 22/23 training with our first team etc.

I think we'll buy a striker regardless. He signed a new contract recently didn't he so I dont think he'll leave yet? He just needs to concentrate on getting fit and back playing.

Hope so.

I'm just thinking we bring in a world class striker,alongside Torres who will need game time,and it leaves Liam struggling for minutes that plenty of other clubs will be willing to give him (as his agent/entourage will be telling him)

He is injured , a fact of professional football, it is impossible to get minutes, And pointless going out on loan.

Getting the body right, And attaining full fitness is the only aim for Delap right now.
