If they are going to start buying in January, they will absolutely need to have appointed the guy by November. Not a two minute job.

Remember the pelters we got for replacing Hughes. Well let's see what the lovable media have to say when Bruce gets his P45. Also will we see the old boys network of managers kicking off.
I find it disgraceful that they'll sack him without a replacement. Atleast we had a top manager in Bobby to come in. Who are they going to get in whilst they're in the bottom 3. Whoever takes it on won't be good enough for the owners and will probably get the chop at the end of the season anyway. They'd be better off keeping Bruce till the end of the season with the incentive of a performance related bonus.
Sod the old twat the way he shit on Sheff Wednesday he deserves no sympathy at all

There some interesting Facts from Talksport:

- The Yanks and Daniel Levy didn't want the takeover go trough because some owners were hoping to sell their respective Clubs for a huge overpriced Price to Saudi. FSG and Tottenham had planned to sell their clubs to the Saudis when their Clubs were at higher Prices.

- The FFP from UEFA won't apply to Newcastle since they havent been in UEFA competition for years

- The English FFP , u are limited to 105£ Million losses from 3-6 Years Spawn. Now heres the catch , Mike Ashley has been always making profits, even in Covid Period. Also Newcastle new Sponsors that are coming haven't been in calculation.

- In theory Newcastle could spent up to 400- 500£ Million in the Summer window. They won't expect it but they could without breaching English FFP.

- Talksports expects Newcastle to spent 1 year on Infrastructure. So the Summer won't be that excessive spending. After that Talksports assume Newcastle will go all out on Summer 2023/24 with a 300-400 Million Spending spree

Talk of winning it 18 months ???? I will be decked if they win it within the next 5years .......... they have to pray that the likes of City, Chelsea, United and Liverpool drop off big time

if City get a world class striker in then they go to another level
If United get rid of Ole which sadly for you lot could be this season then it strengthens them ............ I mean come January are folk gonna wanna switch to a club that could be in a relegation battle ????
Like City found out from 2008 onwards everyone wants to beat you now ......... Newcastle will be the same.
The majority of clubs in the Premier will want them done knowing that next season they could be a major threat to there positions

Did she really say a title win in 18 months? Surely not.

Not within the next three years at least, in my opinion. It's all well and good being minted, but if you can only spend x every year....

In my opinion I'll be surprised if its within 5 years. The fees for players now are astronomical. They will probably spend 100 million in January which will get then 3 or 4 average players. They will probably target the likes of Lingaard, Lamela etc.

I only asked because soon is relative.

Within 3 years, I would agree, if tgats not anytime soon. To me, I think of that as reasonably soon myself. In 3 full seasons I do think we should be seeing them challenge for top4. Once they are there, not that far to then improve quicker.

An invite to the embassy to discuss their future plans, perhaps?

RE: UEFA FFP Talksport are being idiots (quelle surprise).

Sure, if you aren't in European competition there is not UEFA FFP, but as soon as you do qualify, you're required to pass based on the last 3 years.

So if they spend massively, in summer 2022, all that will happen is they get into Europe for 2023/24, and immediately fail FFP before kicking a ball.

Unless you get some help from PiGMol; if you get that, you can go from relegation candidates to Premier League winners in one season.

All depends on the SE Asian betting patterns I suppose.
Ah, the Asian betting market conspiracy theory, doesn’t affect the Premier League one iota.

Bruce is saying he wants a chance to 'show what he can do'. Apparently the 999 games of absolute toss he's managed up there to date don't count (lol). Obviously hoping the Saudis will trust him with a billion quid over two years to piss up the wall on vastly overpriced rag rejects.

I simply hope there will be another contender for the top 4 spot other than the old so called “top 4”. m

Depending on how decent the Saudis will try to run the club. if they go anywhere near Mansour and Khaldoon I’m sure Newcastle will soon attract a lot of great players and challenge for silverware the way we have been doing the last decade.

I dont think they’ll properly challenge us for much longer than it took us to bridge the gap.

Theyve got a much harder job than we did. We could buy stars for £20-£30m each (tevez aguero silva toure etc) with minimal financial restriction in a time when clubs weren’t challenging us with equal spending.

Theyre joining the party when decent players are £50m+ each and stars go for £75m+. Add a saudi money tax and they’re looking at astronomical amounts. And theyre doing so in an ffp world when midtable prem teams splurge £100m without thinking. Their margin for error is so much less than ours was and we could get away with santa cruzs adebayors etc and still win the league within 4 years.

If they get in proper world class recruitment and club management teams they can maybe break into top 4 in next 5 years but it’ll take some real good deals to get there and for several of the existing top 6/8 to go backwards.

If they get the structure and decisions wrong, it’ll be fun to watch and fun to be a newcastle fan but it could be a car crash.

There is one young hungry British player at the Rags

Shaw :-)
You are right but he is actually an excellent player, possibly United's best at the moment, and I can't see them letting him go. He seems to have got his fitness and weight under control these days. He could probably get in our team at left back.

I suppose when the break-even requirement is replaced with a salary cap, there will be some sort of transition period. Maybe they can squeeze some room for manoeuver out of that ......

Welcome to the club Barcodes.

Should you get the shit were getting it might be advisable to join up in a peaceful demo against the media. Sky will want to show the game and we can join together to show the cunts up.
