The genie has long been out of the bottle but no one shines a light on it. It requires large media organisations to do that and they are all commercial so none will do it because the Man Utd and Liverpool armchairs are their bread and butter.

Then you've got that prick Kieran Maguire saying city only abstained from voting against Newcastle because they wouldn't of wanted to look like hypocrites & wouldn't want to vote on something that could be a permanent rule .
City will accept & welcome any challenge from any club on & off the pitch fairly , including Newcastle .
Shame we get branded has scum in return by most of the media & premier clubs ,their just a bunch of greedy racists !

I read it as Book of Revaluation. Thought it was something to with the PL and Newcastle sponsorship.
 
Got a feeling Newcastle & the Saudis will be a lot more vociferous and forceful in their ambitions, and they’re gonna have to be. We had several years to build and made staggering progress before the hamstringing began. Newcastle haven’t even got going before the goalposts have been moved. They can either accept the cartel control or blast open the doors, my money would be on the latter, I quite enjoy the fact we abstained in the vote

The cartel still exists and the most successful side in the country and probably the best team in the world is City. City have shown that "taking the pinch" was the right thing to do in 2014 and the sanctions imposed were a bump on our road and no more. Newcastle are in a different position facing far more severe (and far more obviously unlawful) and they may be a position where, rather than take a sledgehammer in the face, they have to go to court, presumably straight to the ECJ or the English courts. But don't ignore the obvious - the cartel is getting more and more desperate.

Well they did go straight to the top to have a word with the prime minister so they could buy Newcastle. Maybe if things don’t go there way they will make more waves.

The courts. The EFL could base a complaint on grounds that such a step would be anti-competitive. Tht's if it could get the required support in the PL, which is open to doubt since the government felt obliged either because of principle or expediency to support traditional sporting values over the EFL.

Leeds Utd CEO using his programme notes yesterday to have a pop at Newcastle Utd (don’t remember him saying the same about Sheffield Utd, wonder why) and promote revitalised FFP. Inferring that 18 clubs are as pure as the driven snow and they will back it. Scratching my head to work out which is the other club not aligned to such moral superiority…

All their funding must come from guaranteed ethical investments, all validated by their huge corporate social responsibility departments which will have the final say on investment into their clubs. None of it has anything to do with US investment in Leeds and their push for the premier league to become a closed shop version of the NFL.
 
Listening to talksport and white said Everton who have spent 500m are now struggling because of FFP. How ironic is this? One of the biggest voices against our owners. Now they are in debt and are no closer to challenging to win anything.

It proves that we have wonderful people working at City. Khaldoon’s brought in the Spanish players and we have not only made huge strides but won a lot of trophies thus turning city into a top club. Newcastle beware, anyone can waste money.

500m gone for what? Take that you letter writing twats. So the next time we are ranting about not buying a forward take a min to reflect back on how successful the club has and is being run.

We could easily be Everton!
