Conspiracy theories......

Vaccine passports are in, it did not help much did it, 8 months down the line and what do we have, the self righteous blaming the unclean for catching COVID even though they have had both jabs. Well it`s back to face masks for you sonny, you might want to get a packet of Marigolds as well since they are a 1,000 times more effective in their part of `Stop and Prevent`
*narrator* it did in fact help a great fucking deal and the mouth breather was once again talking shite.

Jesus effin christ.
Seems like a new craze ripping through the country via the USA.

Noticed these yellow placard lot up and down the country.
A friend of a relative got sick of these in traffic the other day and jumped out of his car and flung one of the placards.
He was truly fucked off. Then again he's been in and out of hospital for the past year or so with cancer (and now remission thankfully) so one could understand how he feels about this lot.
Think right said Fred (exalted leader of the new wave anti-vaxx libbos) retweeted it.
Some of the comments underneath ffs....

I'll dig it out.

Is`nt that strange since i work with over 300 people and COVID has ripped though the company several times, the last time being from a member of staff who had the jab, he passed it onto an awful lot of people who have had the jab, including one that had not, fortunately there is me an essential worker, who worked right though doing the extra shifts going the extra mile, who did not skive off.
Best of luck to the lad in hospital, i am sure they will give him the jab and he will be cured.
What a shit thing to say.

Menacing and unjustifiable.

But do you think Jeremy Vine's channel 5 show is a postive when it comes to tackling misinformation and nonsense in general not just covid?

Providing a platform for soft deniers and lockdown sceptics isn't really responsible is it?

We are essential workers mate. No need to give the extra mile speech here

I think maybe your issues with this stem from a misunderstanding.

Have you ever heard the term prevention is better than the cure?

I gave you a live example of a perfectly healthy 39 year old man who does triathlons, but is strange in this anti vax view, catching it and ending up in intensive care. He has 2 children under 8. He works with a team of people he put at risk, and gave it to them. If they werent jabbed they may have ended up on a ventilator like he did. Those people have elderly and at risk relatives. There is a moral and ethical responsibility here to look after eachother

In that scenario the only person he has impacted is himself. The vaccine does not stop you getting or spreading the virus it just reduces its ability to make you seriously ill. If vaccinated he would still have passed it on to everybody exactly the same as he has now but he would have recovered quicker.

I don’t watch his TV show so can’t really comment on the type of guests he has on. We have his Radio 2 show on at work most days and whatever the topic, he tends to let people have a say from both sides of the argument.

Regardless, you said it yourself in your first line - there’s absolutely no excuse for these cunts pulling that sort of shit. I can honestly see someone getting seriously hurt soon. Let’s hope it’s these pricks getting a good kicking.

The vaccine doesn’t stop transmission but it reduces the chances of transmission as stated many times previously. There’s plenty of examples of double jabbed couples where one has tested positive while the other hasn’t caught it, whereas if they weren’t jabbed they more than likely would. Just the weekend before last my mate’s girlfriend tested positive yet he hasn’t caught it despite the fact that they live together. Both are double jabbed.

Not true.
If you catch covid after vaccination your viral load is a lot less, therefore your viral shredding is a lot less, simply put, you're less infectious.
My doctor explained that to me.

The vaccine reduces your chances of contracting it by 90% initially reducing to 50% after six months. So don’t talk bollocks.

Seems resorting to insults is the level of the pro vaxxers, well week 40 of 2020 in England and wales 321 people died of Covid, last week 715 people died despite 65% and all those at risk being double vaxinated, the remaining 35% being mainly under 30 where deaths among the healthy are almost non existant, which ties into the data coming out of Countries with more advanced information.
The virus doesn’t act on a yearly cycle, it’s not a company revenue sheet with the tax year running from 1st April to 31st March. What happened in Week 40 last year bares no semblance to Week 40 of this year because we aren’t at the same point in a wave.

The virus is acting in irregular waves, not annual cycles.

No what i am surggesting is we should stop pushing the jab onto those that do not want it, and concentrate on those at risk, i did read a report that said risk of death for children from COVID 1 in 2 million risk of rejection 1 in 10,000, rejection is not neccesary death but what is clear is that the younger you go the less risk from COVID and the higher risk from rejection, which is why some countries including the highest vaccinated ones are not forcing the jab on the under 30`s.
Vaccinating everyone, including the young and those who’ll likely be unaffected, is concentrating on those at risk.

The more people vaccinated, the less of the virus there is in the population because fewer people will spread the virus, fewer people will contract it, those that do contract it will have a smaller viral load and therefore be spreading a smaller viral load. Therefore, those at risk are more protected the more people have the vaccine.

Being vaccinated isn’t just about protecting yourself/individuals, it’s about protecting the population. That’s why it’s selfish not to have it.

I don’t think you understand how jabs work and what jabs are.

Just to add to this while it doesn't negate the chance of someone contracting the virus completely, it does reduce the factor significantly as has been said. This also provides less bodies for the virus to stick around and proliferate and/or mutate. Mutations which can then overcome the vaccine in those that have had the jab and so the cycle begins again.
